Period of Performance: One year full time contract – renewable<\/p>\n

Job Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n
• Ensure the successful implementation of the European-Jordan Partnership Agreement and EU-Jordan Partnership Priorities by providing technical and institutional support to ministries and public institutions involved in the agreement's execution.<\/li>\n
• Work closely with Jordanian ministries and departments to monitor projects funded by both banks.<\/li>\n
• Oversee the daily operations related to EU-Jordan cooperation.<\/li>\n
• Keep in regular contact with the counterpart staff at the EU Delegation in Amman.<\/li>\n
• Develop cooperative relationships with the European Investment Bank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.<\/li>\n
• Draft\/review project documents\/proposals related to the European-Jordan Partnership priority, in collaboration with the European Union Delegation and beneficiary institutions.<\/li>\n
• Contribute to the creation and delivery of presentations and papers on EU-Jordan related topics, including preparing for EU-Jordan meetings and dialogues.<\/li>\n
• Ensure efficient communication and cooperation within the division and with other departments in the Ministry.<\/li>\n
• Manage the division's staff and their respective responsibilities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  Job Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  \n
  • Bachelor's degree in international relations, economics, finance, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.<\/li>\n
  • Minimum of eight years of experience in a similar job field.<\/li>\n
  • Understanding of the principles of international cooperation in the area of loans, grants, and development aid.<\/li>\n
  • Familiarity with the development priorities of the European Union Commission and donors in European countries.<\/li>\n
  • Knowledge of development policies and agreements, as well as Jordanian government directives.<\/li>\n
  • Strong supervisory and communication skills.<\/li>\n
  • Strong negotiation skills.<\/li>\n
  • Knowledge of computer use and applications in the field of work.<\/li>\n
  • Proficiency in both Arabic and English languages.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
