Position Purpose<\/p>\n
Serve as the single point of coordination for assigned import, export and domestic moves into and out of the local region.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities \/ Duties \/ Function Tasks<\/p>\n
Manage the household goods process from booking to delivery; origin to destination, import, export and domestic.<\/p>\n
Counsel clients to ensure the best ongoing experience regarding their household goods shipments, pack outs, deliveries, etc.<\/p>\n
Manage the expectations of both domestic and international customers.<\/p>\n
Liaise with moving operations, customer service reps, sales and crew leaders in order to stay up to date on customer needs, service developments, insurance matters.<\/p>\n
Attend daily planning meetings with warehouse supervisor, crew manager and Operations Manager to analyze and plan effectively.Work closely with Pricing Analyst and Quoting department to best price services and jobs for the most cost-effective solutions.<\/p>\n
Confirming transport and service quotes from agents and vendors, and requesting a discount when possible.<\/p>\n
Requesting and booking of export and import shipments with agents and vendors.<\/p>\n
Waybill documentation for outgoing and incoming shipments<\/p>\n
Checking required customs documentation for import and export shipments.<\/p>\n
Monitoring documentation for incoming and outgoing shipments.<\/p>\n
Closing jobs with actual cost calculations.<\/p>\n
Coordinating the shipments schedule with crew leader and customs specialist.<\/p>\n
Preparation of main documents for individual moves.<\/p>\n
Daily update of electronic files and documents required throughout the cycle of each household goods moving service.<\/p>\n
Meet or exceed service metrics and revenue capture expectations.<\/p>\n
Interact professionally with other employees, customers and suppliers.<\/p>\n
Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organizations.<\/p>\n
Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.<\/p>\n
Liaise with the crew members and crew supervisor in order to have the deliveries\/pack out's scheduled and planned in advance.<\/p>\n
Minimum 3 year Moving Coordination Experience is preferred.<\/p>\n
Strong English skills (written and verbal) are essential.<\/p>\n
Preference of College degree.<\/p>\n
Excellent Customer Service Skills.<\/p>\n
PC applications: Word, Excel, Open office, Windows.<\/p>\n
Demonstrated ability to work in a proactively diverse and inclusive organization.<\/p>\n
Ability to gain respect and build good relationships with customers, partners and colleagues.<\/p>\n
