Overview of the role:<\/p>\n
Supply & Inventory planner is part of inventory control team in Global Aftersales for Al Futtaim Automotive. The team is responsible for balancing the inventory cost with service level as per business recommendation. <\/p>\n
Supply & Inventory planner is responsible for purchasing of inventory parts from respective vendors for Global aftersales division. This is achieved by periodic release of purchase orders to assigned vendors based on the sales trend, forecast, market information and business recommendations. The purpose of the role is to improve the stock turnover by reducing the risk of excess & Obsolete stock. <\/p>\n
What you will do:<\/p>\n
Supply Planning and Procurement<\/p>\n
\u2022 Daily, weekly or month purchase orders processing <\/p>\n
\u2022 Ensure orders are transmitted to supplier and confirmation is received <\/p>\n
\u2022 Ensure orders are dispatched within the agreed lead time <\/p>\n
\u2022 Monitor and follow up on back orders<\/p>\n
\u2022 Communicate to suppliers about changes in forecast<\/p>\n
\u2022 Prepare the budget as per order schedule and business recommendation<\/p>\n
\u2022 Ensure stock availability by performing of risk of run out analysis and ordering <\/p>\n
\u2022 New model parts planning and ordering<\/p>\n
\u2022 Obtain approvals as per delegation of authority<\/p>\n
Stock Optimization<\/p>\n
\u2022 Review inventory policy and Target Service Levels<\/p>\n
\u2022 Continuous monitoring of aged stock <\/p>\n
\u2022 Forecasting of stock provision <\/p>\n
\u2022 Initiate and follow up dead stock disposal <\/p>\n
\u2022 Monitor and review the excess and obsolete stock parts <\/p>\n
Logistics operations<\/p>\n
\u2022 To create the Advance shipping notifications according to supplier invoices on timely manner <\/p>\n
\u2022 To provide data support with logistics to control the inbounds and clearing documents on time <\/p>\n
\u2022 Monitor cost charges within the aggreged terms and conditions <\/p>\n
\u2022 Manage the logistics payments and update finance with relevant reports for payment clearance<\/p>\n
\u2022 Follow up with Finance for payments<\/p>\n
\u2022 Arrange\/Renew Letter of Credits <\/p>\n
\u2022 Customs claim registration & payments<\/p>\n
\u2022 Arranging ESMA\/RFID approvals<\/p>\n
\u2022 Declaration of cargoes for insurance<\/p>\n
Continuous improvement & Business Intelligence<\/p>\n
\u2022 Creating dashboards for monitoring of process<\/p>\n
\u2022 Perform kaizens and projects to reduce operational costs<\/p>\n
\u2022 Taking necessary actions\/ advise for effective inventory control<\/p>\n
\u2022 Escalate the cases with necessary information if the process is not under control <\/p>\n
System Utilisation<\/p>\n
\u2022 Continuous review of system parameters for improving the service level <\/p>\n
\u2022 Review of system Alerts, eg: last demand flier, lead time, demand change alerts, forecast alerts<\/p>\n
\u2022 Review of Risk of Runout <\/p>\n
\u2022 Mastering the processes and applying as per business needs to improve the efficiency and productivit<\/p>\n
Required skills to be successful:<\/p>\n
\u2022 Experience developing management reporting packs <\/p>\n
\u2022 Skilled in problem-solving and continuous improvement methodologies<\/p>\n
\u2022 Understanding of the agile way of working<\/p>\n

\u2022 Around 5 years of experience in the field of Supply Chain, preferably with Automotive experience.<\/p>\n
