Senior Accountant<\/p>\n

We are looking for a detail-oriented senior accountant to perform and coordinate accounting duties within our organization. The senior accountant\u2019s responsibilities include preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, preparing tax returns, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned.<\/p>\n

To be successful as a senior accountant, you should have a solid working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and strong financial analysis skills. An outstanding senior accountant should also possess strong Excel skills, be detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to work with little to no supervision and perform under pressure.<\/p>\n

Responsibilities:
\n\u2013 Coordinating accounting functions and programs.
\n\u2013 Preparing financial analyses and reports.
\n\u2013 Preparing revenue projections and forecasting expenditure.
\n\u2013 Assisting with preparing and monitoring budgets.
\n\u2013 Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
\n\u2013 Assisting with annual audit preparations.
\n\u2013 Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.
\n\u2013 Preparing federal, state, local, and special tax returns.
\n\u2013 Contributing to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
\n\u2013 Performing other accounting duties and supporting junior staff as required or assigned.<\/p>\n

Requirements:
\n\u2013 Bachelor\u2019s degree in accounting or finance required.
\n\u2013 3+ years of accounting experience.
\n\u2013 Working knowledge of tax laws and GAAP.
\n\u2013 Strong financial analysis skills.
\n\u2013 Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
\n\u2013 Strong organizational and stress management skills.
\n\u2013 Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel.
\n\u2013 Ability to train and manage staff.
