Overview of the role<\/p>\n

We are currently looking for Sea Freight Operations Manager for Al Futtaim Logistics in Dubai. <\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

As Sea Freight Operations Manager, you will manage the sea import \/ export business and assigned key accounts of Automotive portfolio in an efficient manner. You will handle Freight management of special movements, Cross Trade, Cross Border, Bulk & Break Bulk, Ro Ro, Ocean Charter movements.<\/p>\n

What you will do<\/p>\n

\n
• To manage an assigned team within Sea Freight and Procurement Department<\/li>\n
• Handle end to end scope of assigned key accounts including managing day to day movements & scheduled movements <\/li>\n
• Effective coordination with origin agents\u2019 offices & ensure timely collections & lifting to attain efficient lead times & liaise for cost effective solutions<\/li>\n
• Manage and develop relationship with Ocean Carriers and other local vendors. <\/li>\n
• Procure rates and services from Ocean Carriers and other vendors and manage pricing to the market for leads\/nominations from partners and local commercial team<\/li>\n
• Handle the customer rate requests & RFQ\u2019s and drive the results<\/li>\n
• Prepare the customer SLA\u2019s & Value propositions for strategic customers<\/li>\n
• Timely & errorless billing\/cost booking of the Jobs in the system<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  Required skills to be successful<\/p>\n

  \n
  • Manage the day-to-day sea freight operations<\/li>\n
  • 5 years in Ocean Freight Industry, preferably with automotive shipping & Local services background<\/li>\n
  • Should be well-versed with Ocean Freight market intelligence, carrier relations and thoroughly knowledgeable about the services to\/from Middle East.<\/li>\n
  • Ability to manage a team<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    What equips you for the role<\/p>\n

    \n
    • Degree or Diploma preferably in Supply Chain or Logistics<\/li>\n
    • Extensive experience in Sea Freight operations<\/li>\n
    • Must have awareness about Freight industry and its products & services<\/li>\n
    • Experience in Cargo wise EDI system or similar platform and an excellent knowledge on MS Office<\/li>\n
    • Ability to build and maintain friendly, warm relationships with customer<\/li>\n
    • Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills and has the ability to solve problems quickly<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
