As the official representation of Switzerland accredited in both the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and in the Republic of Iraq, the Embassy covers all matters concerning diplomatic relations between the two countries. It represents Swiss interests in the areas of political, economic and financial affairs, humanitarian aid, development cooperation, legal arrangements, science, education and culture.<\/p>\n

Ambassador Driver \u2013 100 %<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Driver works under the supervision of the Head of Support Team<\/p>\n

Duties & Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n
• Driving the Ambassador as per request in and out of Amman<\/li>\n
• Plans and conducts safe and timely driving<\/li>\n
• Coordinates with the other embassy driver(s) about transport arrangements in case of official visits, delegations and other, whether to take alternative routes and whether to take preventive security measures in the event of incidents.<\/li>\n
• Ensure that the car is always ready to be driven. Responsible for the technical condition (including sufficient fuel and air in spare tyre, car is clean), car papers and tools of the car; car registration and insurance<\/li>\n
• Collect daily the agenda\/schedule with the program of the Ambassador. Discuss with the Ambassador\u2019s Assistant the schedule, locations, protocol, etc.<\/li>\n
• Comply with all traffic laws and Embassy safety regulation<\/li>\n
• Assist with regular vehicle inspections, arranging maintenance when necessary<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  Skills and other requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n

  • Excellent command of English and Arabic<\/li>\n
  • Flexibility to work on evenings and\/or weekends in accordance with the Ambassador\u2019s schedule. Flexibility to adapt the annual leave to the presence\/absence of the Ambassador.<\/li>\n

    Experience and Education<\/strong><\/p>\n

    • Diploma degree or other relevant qualifications\/trainings<\/li>\n
    • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience of which at least 3 years in international environment (Embassies, International Organisations<\/li>\n
    • A valid driver\u2019s license<\/li>\n
    • Good computer skills (MS Office)<\/li>\n
    • AV driving experience is a plus<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
