Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\u2022Provides technical oversight and support to all construction projects ensuring reliability,<\/p>\n
accessibility, safety, operability, and fitness for purpose; coordinates all related works with<\/p>\n
other Divisions in the Field Infrastructure and Camp Improvement Department (FICIP) and<\/p>\n
other Departments; provides advice to CFICIP on relevant cross-cutting issues.<\/p>\n
\u2022Manages and monitors progress of all construction projects ensuring quality planning and<\/p>\n
control, including:<\/p>\n
1.Ensuring that Contractors implement the projects in compliance with the contract<\/p>\n
documents including contract conditions, period, budget, drawings, specifications, and Bills<\/p>\n
of Quantities.<\/p>\n
2.Preparing Project(s) risk management plans; ensures their appropriate observation during<\/p>\n
the project(s) implementation.<\/p>\n
3. Making sure that the contractor meets contractual requirements of safety, environment, and<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
health.<\/p>\n
4. Ensuring the completeness of all project documentation including entering all construction<\/p>\n
projects details into Facilities Management Information System (FMIS);<\/p>\n
5.Preparing reports including weekly and monthly progress and ad-hoc reports required by<\/p>\n

\u2022Holds regular site meetings with the Contractors to discuss the progress, check the quality of<\/p>\n
implemented works, resolves any outstanding technical issues\/challenges including delays,<\/p>\n
extension of time, additional works, variation orders; ensures the quality of the supplied<\/p>\n
materials to the site and approves the samples submitted by the Contractors.<\/p>\n
\u2022Reviews and endorses the measurements for the projects under implementation, interim and<\/p>\n
final payments; assesses the variation orders and extension of time and provides<\/p>\n
recommendations to CFICIP.<\/p>\n
\u2022Participates with Field Maintenance Engineer in the evaluation and structural assessment of<\/p>\n
the existing buildings to assess the structural integrity, safety, fitness for purpose\/use and<\/p>\n
provides joint advice to CFICIP on reconstruction or maintenance.<\/p>\n
\u2022Supervises the performance of construction division staff; is responsible for sustaining and<\/p>\n
elevating their capabilities; assesses their training and career development needs and provides<\/p>\n
