WASH Program Manager Assistant -NWS<\/h3>\n

The WASH Program Manager Assistant backs up the WASH Program Manager in supporting the mission to achieve the intended operational results.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In particular, he\/she helps in ensuring the quality of implemented projects through reporting follow up, results monitoring, context monitoring, lessons learned and knowledge management, tools development and trainings.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The WASH Program Manager Assistant takes part to the development and implementation of Solidarit\u00e9s International technical strategy in the country.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He\/she takes on the functions of the WASH Program Manager in case of absence.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Main tasks:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Project quality<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n
• To help in ensuring the quality of implemented projects through reporting follow up, results monitoring, context monitoring, lessons learned and knowledge management, tools development and trainings<\/li>\n
• To work closely with the project field supervisors, field deputy program manager and the WASH program manager in coordinating information exchange and timely support.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  • Collect information from the field teams, WASH Database Supervisor and assist in the quality analysis of the activities carried out with the WASH Program Manager<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Coordination, technical support and operational monitoring<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
    • Together with the WASH Program Manager, set objectives and specific and general indicators in order to assess and monitor the impact of the programs and to reshape them if necessary<\/li>\n
    • Support WASH Program Manager for carrying out and\/or supervising task and resource planning over time, according to the objectives which have been set<\/li>\n
    • Suggest new tasks\/projects as regards organizational strategy and proficient analysis of the situation (contribute to annual scheduling) to WASH Program Manager<\/li>\n
    • Monitor the development of current programs (progress, suitability and effectiveness) and suggest modifications to WASH Program Manager<\/li>\n
    • Together with the WASH Program Manager, ensure and approve quality and adherence to guidelines and due dates set in any contractual documents (proposal, intermediate and final reports…)<\/li>\n
    • Support the teams on site, by regularly visiting intervention sites planned with the WASH Program Manager, pre-empting problems and listening to the teams<\/li>\n
    • Ensure that local communities are closely involved in project implementation and that the relationship between Solidarit\u00e9s International and local communities remains harmonious, together with field managers and WASH Program Manager<\/li>\n
    • Together with the WASH Program Manager, be involved in the review and follow up of the different operational follow ups.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Strategic orientation<\/strong><\/p>\n

      • The WASH Program Manager assistant takes part to the development and implementation of Solidarit\u00e9s International technical strategy in the country.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
        \n
        • To participate in preparation of assessment methodology and reporting formats as specified in the Tool Box to ensure timely and high quality information analysis and recommendation<\/li>\n
        • To participate in humanitarian needs identification and analysis and in the conceptualization of appropriate activities in collaboration with targeted communities<\/li>\n
        • To participate in and draft project ideas, concept notes and proposals for funding.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          Knowledge management<\/strong><\/p>\n

          \n
          • Reporting: To ensure that project files are complete and regularly updated with periodic reporting and monitoring information and communications.<\/li>\n
          • Coordination: To participate in information collection, through development of a network of humanitarian stakeholders<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            Reporting \/ communication \/ representation <\/strong><\/p>\n

            • To prepare project and program periodic and other reports as necessary, together with analysis and recommendations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
              \n
              • Compile the activity sheets provided in the Tool box form the different bases<\/li>\n
              • Participate to the Consolidation activity<\/em>,<\/strong> activity reports and supervise the preparation annexes linked to activities for reports and\/or financial donors with the WASH Program Manager.<\/li>\n
              • Participate to the Validation of technical expertise reports<\/li>\n
              • Represent the organization when asked and\/or delegated to do so<\/li>\n
              • In conjunction with the WASH Program Manager, establish and maintain a communication network and good relations with local\/government authorities, financial donor representatives, UN agencies and other international agencies.<\/li>\n
              • Ensure with the WASH Program Manager that SI is represented at all meetings or forums concerning activities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                Job Requirments: <\/strong><\/p>\n

                \n
                • Bachelor degree in Water ressources, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or any relevant field<\/li>\n
                • Minimum of 3 Years Experience in WASH projects, preferably in INGO<\/li>\n
                • Knowledgeable on Syria context<\/li>\n
                • Excellent in Cutting edge technologies (CAD, Epanet) and MS office<\/li>\n
                • Skilled in data management, analysis and report writing<\/li>\n
                • Strong communication, analysis and writing skills.<\/li>\n
                • Commitment to beneficiary accountability and humanitarian principles.<\/li>\n
                • Fluency in Arabic and advanced English language skills (spoken and written)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
