Created in 1993, ACTED is an international non-governmental organization pursuing a dual mandate of emergency response and development interventions in 40 of some of the world\u2019s most vulnerable countries affected by conflicts, disasters or socio-economic hardship. With a team of 7,000 national staff and 400 international staff, ACTED implements 500 projects a year to support more than 20 million beneficiaries, notably in hard-to-reach areas.<\/h3>\n

ACTED goes to the last mile through programs and approaches that look beyond the immediate emergency towards opportunities for longer term livelihood reconstruction and sustainable development. Guided by the motto \u201cThink Local, Act Global\u201d and its 3Zero \u2013Zero Exclusion, Zero Carbon, and Zero Poverty \u2013 strategy, ACTED puts local territories at the centre and provides a tailored support to local needs.<\/h3>\n

ACTED Syria<\/h3>\n

Since 2012, ACTED has been implementing projects with vulnerable communities in Syria with a two-fold approach: ACTED provides life-saving support to vulnerable displaced persons, returnees, and host communities across Syria, through multi-sectorial rapid emergency services, and implements a wide range of resilience building interventions. Thus, ACTED has been able to strengthen its links with Syrian local communities and to develop an in-depth knowledge of local dynamics. A team of 900+ is currently working in Syria.<\/h3>\n

You will be in charge of<\/h3>\n

The Logistics Volunteer assists the Country Logistics Manager to reinforce logistics processes in country. He\/She will also provide technical support and capacity building to the logistics staff. The Logistics Volunteer may also support the Country Director for logistics management in case of Country Logistics Manager\/Country Logistics Officer absence.<\/h3>\n

  Stocks & deliveries;<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n

  Fleet, transportation & fuel management;<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n

  Asset management;<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n

  Communications & IT management;<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n

  \n

  Logistics Follow Up.<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  Train logistics & other staff to logistics procedures & tools<\/strong><\/h3>\n

  Support logistics documentation<\/strong><\/h3>\n

  Upon request support logistics operations<\/strong><\/h3>\n

  Expected skills and qualifications<\/h3>\n

    Post graduate Degree in logistics, supply chain management or equivalent, preferably at Master level;<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n

    \n

    Experience in logistics in a professional environment (internship);<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n

    \n

    Familiarity with basic office software programs;<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n

    \n

    Knowledge of the humanitarian field will be an asset.<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      300 USD per month living allowance<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n

      Coverage of all accommodation, guesthouse, food, and travel costs, a luggage allowance of 50 kg<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n

      The provision of medical, repatriation, and life insurance.<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n

      \n

      One week pre-departure training in ACTED HQ, including a 3-days in situ security training<\/h3>\n<\/li>\n
