The organisation is a well renowned oil and maritime corporation with more than 500 employees spanning across multiple countries in 4 continents. Their last recorded revenue was over 2 billion USD which is equivalent to more than 5 million tonnes of oil products distributed.
Description
As their new Assistant Controller \/ Controller, you will be part of a skilled team consisting of eleven colleagues of both Accountants and Controllers. The team attend to a broad variety of tasks. You will be strongly involved in various activities across the group, which will give you the opportunity to build a strong network globally and will report directly to Head of Finance MEA.
Your main responsibility will be financial controlling and it is important that you thrive in an ambitious environment, know the importance of meeting your deadlines and value close dialogues with your colleagues. The responsibilities include:
\u00b7 Conduct controlling and reviewing
\u00b7 Monthly and annual closing of numbers
\u00b7 Participate in cross functional projects.
\u00b7 Assist strong key stakeholder management
\u00b7 Estimate as per the required timeline.
\u00b7 Preparation of Forecast and Budgets.
\u00b7 Data and cost controlling.
\u00b7 Ensuring legal and regulatory financial compliances
\u00b7 Audit co-ordination and finalisation
\u00b7 Tax controlling including VAT fillings
\u00b7 Derivative as well as contract management (financial contracts) controlling
Profile
\u00b7 Relevant financial education or similar position and\/or as an auditor
\u00b7 At least 3 years of experience in a relevant position
\u00b7 CPA qualification is mandatory
\u00b7 Experience from the oil and shipping industry is preferred
\u00b7 Proficient user of Microsoft Office.
\u00b7 Fluent in both written and verbal English
\u00b7 Structured and detail oriented
\u00b7 Strong analytical mind-set
\u00b7 Pragmatic with a practical approach
\u00b7 Strong communicator at all organisational levels
