The incumbent is expected to produce organised and accurate technical work and reports. The incumbent will provide guidance on standard practices to other staff and counterparts in their area of work<\/p>\n<h2>KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)<\/h2>\n<p>Within delegated authority, the Monitoring Assistant will be responsible for the following duties:<\/p>\n<p>1. Verify the planned movements and distribution of cash-based transfer, food or non-food items, reporting issues or discrepancies to the supervisor for timely resolution of problems and to ensure that the quantity distributed, and the quality of the operation is in line with WFP standards.<\/p>\n<p>2. Maintain information records and monitoring plan documentation, such as records of commodity movements, programme checklists, as well as monthly monitoring plans (planned vs actual visits), in order to assist in the effective delivery and distribution of cash-based transfer, food items or non-food items.<\/p>\n<p>3. Collate assistance programme(s) data in accordance with clear direction, in order to support programme reviews and informative decision-making.<\/p>\n<p>4. Liaise with partners (CP, government) and internal counterparts (supply chain, programme) to gather feedback and comments to support programme reviews and improve services.<\/p>\n<p>5. Receive and collate comments and feedback from partners, and beneficiaries, to support identifying programmatic issues with a view to fostering efficient operations.<\/p>\n<p>6. Provide guidance to partners on WFP operational practices, monitoring tools and methods in order to support them to complete self-monitoring tasks and to contribute to the visibility of WFP in the coverage areas.<\/p>\n<p>7. Conduct surveys, focus group discussions and in-depth interviews at the community level as well as with government partners including training facilitation, data collection supervision, and note-taking.<\/p>\n<p>8. Prepare field mission reports to document programme implementation and M&amp;Ebulletins.<\/p>\n<p>9. Follow set emergency response processes and procedures for emergency foodassistance.<\/p>\n<p>10. Perform other related duties as required.<\/p>\n<p>OTHER SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Monitoring: Conduct timely monitoring of activities and prepare accurate and evidence-based reports on WFP&#039;s operations and performance, while following up the actions to be taken based on monitoring findings and\/or beneficiaries&#039; feedbacks; and<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Partnership: Build effective and collaborative relations with local authorities, UN agencies and potential\/existing partners of WFP in the area of coverage<\/p>\n<h2>STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS<\/h2>\n<p>Education: Completion of secondary school education.
