Section B: Project overview<\/strong><\/p>\n

JoWomenomics, with prime contractor EnCompass LLC and its partners Integrated International (INTEGRATED) and Nathan Associates, are supporting (USAID) Women\u2019s Economic Empowerment and Leadership Activity in Jordan-Makanati project. The purpose of Makanati is to contribute to increasing women\u2019s access to waged employment and leadership opportunities in Jordan by improving women\u2019s access to the job market, addressing inequalities and prohibitive social norms and traditions, and enhancing the workforce enabling environment.<\/p>\n

JoWomenomics will support Makanati achieve these goals through working with the communities\u2019 stakeholders, institutions, and individuals to change mindsets and attitudes around women\u2019s employment. JoWomenomics will engage local government champions and private sector firms to improve the enabling environment around women\u2019s employability in the community to complement Makanati\u2019s strategic activities at the government, private sector, gender, and communications component levels.<\/p>\n

  Section D: Scope of work<\/strong><\/p>\n

  \n
  • Collect and analyze information to map numbers, locations and other data within the target community.<\/li>\n
  • Identify communities with particular needs where project activities should be prioritized in keeping with the programme implementation strategy.<\/li>\n
  • Assist the work plan for all community mobilization activities.<\/li>\n
  • Work closely with the Community Specialist to liaise with local authorities, civil society organizations, and private business partners to ensure programme related activities are implemented in coherent and coordinated manner.<\/li>\n
  • Develop and maintain strong community relationships and networks between the beneficiaries and the service providers.<\/li>\n
  • Continuously encourage and stimulate community champions for determining their own problems with finding community-based solutions and initiatives.<\/li>\n
  • Support all reporting concerning their work (Daily reports, weekly reports, quarterly reports) in an accurate, organized, and comprehensive manner according to reporting protocol.<\/li>\n
  • Represent project partners in a professional and respectful manner to all community members and relevant coordination meetings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Section E: Requirements and skills<\/strong><\/p>\n

    • Bachelors\u2019 degree or equivalent in Social Sciences other relevant areas.<\/li>\n
    • At least fours years proven and successful track record in community mobilization within local community activities\/USAID initiatives.<\/li>\n
    • Experience in writing reports and analytical documents is desirable.<\/li>\n
    • Strong experience in working with local community, government authorities and private sector.<\/li>\n
    • Excellent interpersonal skills including patience, diplomacy, willingness to listen and cooperate with beneficiaries, colleagues and other stakeholders.<\/li>\n
    • Research and mobilization skills.<\/li>\n
    • Proactive, constructive, and dynamic personality.<\/li>\n
    • Excellent team work skills.<\/li>\n
    • Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and meet deadlines.<\/li>\n
    • Ability to travel to the field on a daily basis as requested.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Section F: Languages<\/strong><\/p>\n

      • Professional working proficiency in English.<\/li>\n
      • Fluency in spoken and written Arabic.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
