JOB PURPOSE<\/p>\n

The Job holder will report to Senior Logistics Associate. Work will be carried out under minimal supervision. The job holder is expected to produce organized and accurate work, undertaking specific Logistics and Retail activities. <\/p>\n

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)<\/p>\n

1. Provide support to logistics operations and activities, following standard processes and facilitating, directly or indirectly, the effective delivery of food assistance to beneficiaries. <\/p>\n

2. Support timely ordering and delivery of commodities and supplies to authorized partners and destinations. <\/p>\n

3. Support management of logistics and Retail vendors\u2019 contracting activities including performance monitoring and measurement. <\/p>\n

4. Support gathering market intelligence, vendor assessments (e.g. transporters, retailers) to support vendor selection process. <\/p>\n

5. Respond to a variety of technical queries\/requests for support, following standard processes, and obtaining guidance as required, to ensure timely and accurate resolution of all enquiries with a high standard of client service mind-set. <\/p>\n

6. Contribute to budget preparation, monitoring and revision for all delivery modalities, ensuring adherence to relevant procedures and in compliance with corporate standards. <\/p>\n

7. Support operational pipeline analyses, assessments and operational planning for all delivery modalities.<\/p>\n

8. Process documentation for execution of logistics operations (e.g. customs clearance, invoice verification), take appropriate actions to resolve operational issues escalating various issues to the supervisor. <\/p>\n

9. Liaise with internal and limited number of external stakeholders to support efficient logistics operations and Retail management. <\/p>\n

10. Collect and compile data, produce and\/or contribute to reports (e.g., financial closure, physical inventory, transport\/Shop performance) and ensure information accuracy in corporate systems in support to informed decision-making. <\/p>\n

11. Provide guidance to other support staff, in order to assist them in completing standard tasks to agreed standards and deadlines.<\/p>\n

Skills<\/p>\n

STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS<\/p>\n

Education: Completion of secondary school education. A post-secondary certificate in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, economics, and social science or a related functional area is required.<\/p>\n

Experience: At least five (5) years of relevant professional work experience work experience in Supply Chain management.<\/p>\n

Language: Fluency in both oral and written communication in English and Arabic is required.<\/p>\n

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS<\/p>\n

\u2022 Experience using corporate systems to monitor ongoing shipments, pipeline information, insurance claims, and food stock. <\/p>\n

\u2022 Experience analysing data (on commodities, funds, etc.) and drafting reports. <\/p>\n

\u2022 Experience in measuring service providers\u2019 performance against set KPIs. <\/p>\n

\u2022 Experience in assisting the preparation of contract documentation. <\/p>\n

\u2022 Experience in providing technical business support in corporate systems. <\/p>\n

\u2022 Experience in Retail activities is an added advantage.<\/p>\n
