In the context of Jordan,<br \/>implementation and engagement of a CARM will ensure that the country team\u2019s programs will continue to uphold<br \/>Mercy Corps\u2019 high standards of accountability.<\/p>\n<p><strong>General Position Summary<\/strong><br \/>The CARM Assistant supports the CARM team in rolling out CARM in Jordan. They would be specifically<br \/>responsible for the day-to-day implementation of tasks such as receiving, monitoring, prioritizing and categorizing<br \/>CARM data from predefined feedback streams for Mercy Corps Jordan programs. The CARM assistant is<br \/>responsible for answering the phone within defined hours of service and handling live community feedback in a<br \/>responsible, courteous and respectful manner and is responsible for receiving, collating and categorizing<br \/>feedback from at least five different channels: phone hotline, feedback boxes, face to face and a CARM email<br \/>address for all programs, in addition to online platforms (facebook, IG and others). The assistant works closely<br \/>with the program staff to ensure that CARM feedback channels are safe, confidential and accessible for<br \/>participants and greater community. The position also ensures feedback on behalf of Mercy Corps provided in a<br \/>timely and appropriate manner to the beneficiary and\/or community.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Essential Job Responsibilities:<\/strong><br \/>GENERAL<br \/>\u25cf Together with the CARM team, support the development and implementation of a Community<br \/>Accountability and Response Mechanism for direct implementation tracking trends in feedback received.<br \/>mercycorps.org<br \/>\u25cf Collect unsolicited and solicited feedback from different channels; feedback boxes, WhatsApp, calls, text,<br \/>voice messages, online forms, email, and assessments.<br \/>\u25cf Monitor and input feedback from all feedback channels into the CARM database.<br \/>\u25cf Provide timely responses via the feedback channels, leveraging CARM for two-way feedback.<br \/>\u25cf Ensure the CARM database is accurate and up to date on a daily basis according to CARM database<br \/>guidelines.<br \/>\u25cf Conduct phone call surveys or focus group discussion (FGD) with stakeholders to select appropriate<br \/>channels to collect feedback.<br \/>\u25cf Share CARM messages, CARM video, or CARM digital brochure with program participants\/stakeholders.<br \/>\u25cf Ensure elevation of serious complaints and maintain an integrity attitude when addressing serious issues.<br \/>\u25cf Translate feedback from Arabic to English, for example prior to inputting it into the CARM database and<br \/>provide a summary.<br \/>\u25cf Categorizing the feedback according to the Mercy Corps Grading system.<br \/>\u25cf ESCALATING THE FEEDBACK AS PER THE COUNTRY SOP OR PROVIDING THE APPROPRIATE RESPONSE AS PER THE FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS.<br \/>\u25cf Closing the feedback loop with the informant to ensure that Mercy Corps builds trust and encourages<br \/>acceptance within stakeholders or program participants.<br \/>\u25cf Support the CARM coordinator in planning, facilitating and CARM staff training and tracking staff<br \/>attendance.<br \/>\u25cf Support theCARM team in facilitating info sessions, FGDs, and data collection.<br \/>\u25cf Complete other tasks assigned by the line manager.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PROJECT COORDINATION ACTIVITIES<\/strong><br \/>\u25cf In collaboration with CARM focal points and program team members, keep track of CARM assets and fill<br \/>out CARM Experience<\/strong><br \/>\u25cf Bachelor\u2019s degree in Social work or Business or equivalent in a relevant field.<br \/>\u25cf Minimum one year of work experience in relevant work including referral experience or accountability or<br \/>customer service.<br \/>\u25cf Arabic and English languages, written and spoken, are essential.<br \/>\u25cf Ability to translate professional, personable, community-focused letters from skills from English to<br \/>Arabic, and vice versa.<br \/>\u25cf Experience with Microsoft Office (excel, word, and PowerPoint) and Google drive is required.<br \/>\u25cf Data entry, data\/information management, and data analysis skills.<br \/>\u25cf Experience and\/or training in handling sensitive information, particularly with respect to Sexual and<br \/>Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) as well as Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA)<br \/>specifically, and finally Child Protection<br \/>\u25cf Understanding of preventing sexual exploitation and abuse, child safeguarding, and how other types of<br \/>code-of-conduct issues may arise in CARM mechanisms and best practices for raising awareness of<br \/>and responding to
