M\u00e9decins Sans Fronti\u00e8res is running a reconstructive surgery program in Amman, which opened in 2006, is giving access to reconstructive surgery (orthopedic, plastic and maxilo-facial) to war wounded people and providing comprehensive health care. MSF aims at identifying and referring patients from neighboring countries (Iraq, Yemen, Syria, and other countries with conflicts) then ensuring their medical follow-up after discharge.<\/p>\n

THE JOB<\/p>\n
Executing the stock management activities (receipt, storage, and issuance to projects or other departments of spare parts, tools, equipment and\/ or other logistics materials), according to the line manager\u2019s instructions and MSF standards and protocols, in order to ensure the overall functioning of MSF activities<\/p>\n
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n
\n
Supervising materials and goods orders and dispatch in order to ensure its rational use.<\/li>\n
Receiving orders and deliveries, identifying and reporting potential discrepancies against cargo manifest or others. Stores materials in accordance with the system in force in order to ensure continuous availability.<\/li>\n
Updating and\/or creating stock cards for all stock items immediately after reception of goods.<\/li>\n
Storing materials in accordance with the system in force in order to ensure continuous availability ensuring that all items are well organized and correctly stored, well protected, fully identified and easily accessible (cleanliness, security, access, etc.).<\/li>\n
Monitoring the store temperature.<\/li>\n
Keeping a special control of \u201csensitive\u201d goods: numbers of lots, expiry dates, packaging and special storage conditions<\/li>\n
Preparing orders on time before sending goods, and packs (according to transport means) weighs and labels freight with corresponding shipping number, destination, number of shipping units, way bill number, weight and mode of transport in accordance with the line manager\u2019s instructions.<\/li>\n
In conjunction with the line manager, performing physical stock counts in accordance with the frequency previously defined. Following up stock levels with regards to alarms thresholds, stock out and expiry dates.<\/li>\n
Controlling warehouse limited access to authorized personnel and ensuring doors and other exits are secured. Immediately informing the line manager of any problems arising in the course of the work, particularly with regard to damage, loss, attempted break-ins or theft in the warehouse<\/li>\n
Assisting the line manager with preparation of the stock reports<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
PROFILE<\/p>\n
\n
Essential: Literacy.<\/li>\n
Desirable secondary education and warehouse management related studies.<\/li>\n
2 years of experience as storekeeper.<\/li>\n
Local language essential. Mission language desirable.<\/li>\n
Essential basic mathematics and use of measuring equipment.<\/li>\n
Desirable computer literacy (word, excel).<\/li>\n
Desirable ability to do basic repairs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
WORK LOCATION<\/strong>: Amman – Al Mowasah hospital – Northern Marka<\/p>\n
CONTRACT<\/strong>: Full time contract, duration for (6) months renewable.<\/p>\n
