We are looking for a well-organized site engineer with strong leadership skills to join our growing team
\nThe site engineer's responsibilities include managing different parts of construction projects, supervising crew members, preparing estimates for time and material costs, completing quality assurance, observing health and safety standards, and compiling reports for different stakeholders. You should be able to work alongside various professionals and create work schedules that meet deadlines.
\nResponsibilities:
\n\u2022 Understand the Geosynthetics Limited business plan and philosophy
\n\u2022 Prepare engineering reports and construction documents including technical drawings, specifications, schedules, and cost estimates to ensure appropriate materials and tools are available.
\n\u2022 Develop grading plans, cross sections, figures, and designs in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
\n\u2022 Perform and document construction observation and construction quality assurance testing for geosynthetics or earthworks on large civil projects.
\n\u2022 Ability to solve unusual or complex problems and manage proposed plans or projects.
\n\u2022 Preparing cost estimates and ensuring appropriate materials and tools are available.
\n\u2022 Providing technical advice and suggestions for improvement on particular projects.
\n\u2022 Diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment as required.
\n\u2022 Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to ensure the best contracts.
\n\u2022 Drawing up work schedules and communicating any adjustments to crew members and clients.
\n\u2022 Gathering data, compiling reports and delivering presentations to relevant stakeholders.
\n\u2022 Delegating tasks and scheduling meetings and training sessions where required.
\n\u2022 Completing quality assurance and providing feedback to the team
\nRequirements:
\n\u2022 Bachelor's degree in Civil engineering, construction, or similar.
\n\u2022 A good level of English language (technical writing and conversation)
\n\u2022 Great written and verbal communication skills.
\n\u2022 Candidate should have 5 years\u2019 experience on site.
\n\u2022 Willingness to work within various industries and in different site projects.
\n\u2022 Additional software such as Primavera is preferable
\n\u2022 Additional certificates or licenses may be required.
\n\u2022 Sound knowledge of Engineering, construction, and design.
\n\u2022 Great leadership and organizational skills.
\n\u2022 Superb project management skills.
\n\u2022 Ability to apply logical and critical thinking skills to projects.
\n\u2022 A willingness to learn
