We welcome<br \/>diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and skills so that we can be stronger and have long term impact.<br \/>PROGRAM\/DEPARTMENT SUMMARY:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Inclusive Security and Resilient Youth (ISRY)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Mercy Corps and Axiom International will implement a 24-month programme \u201cInclusive Security and<br \/>Resilient Youth Project \u2013 ISRY,&#039;&#039; a community-based development programme supporting at-risk youth<br \/>in Jordan between the ages of 15 to 30. ISRY will adopt a positive youth development approach to<br \/>psychosocial support interventions with the aim of; promoting learning; increasing stability through<br \/>co-existence and inclusive security; and building the psychosocial resiliency of youth and their families.<br \/>Mercy Corps, in close coordination with Axiom, will create connections between youth and Public<br \/>Security actors through engagement in Nature based activities and community-based activities.<br \/>In close collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Ministry of Social Development,<br \/>The program will identify 12 youth centers across all Jordan governorates to conduct holistic health<br \/>activities for youth and parents.<br \/>The project will place additional focus on the national level to strengthen the role of women and youth<br \/>representation in the Youth Peace and Security &#8211; YPS 2250 &#8211; coalition in Jordan, through close<br \/>collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and other stakeholders.<\/p>\n<p><strong>General Position Description:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The area assistant is responsible for overseeing and following up on \u201cSupporting Resilient Communities<br \/>and Youth in Jordan\u201d Project\u2019s activities at the youth centers across all Jordan according to the activity<br \/>structure and work plan. S\/he will report to the Senior Area Officer and work closely with staff dedicated<br \/>to the ISRY project and other departments \u2013 such as, Finance, and M&amp;E in addition to external trainers<br \/>assigned for the activities. The Area Project Assistant will spend several days a week in the field<br \/>supporting the field teams in ensuring that time management involves developing training material and<br \/>preparing for trainings and following up on implementation at youth centers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Essential Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1. Prepare and conduct a mapping plan for youth centers across Jordan in the assigned<br \/>locations.<br \/>2. Oversee all operations related to the project implementation at the youth centers in the<br \/>assigned locations.<br \/>3. Coordinate with the technical units at MC to recruit external trainers who will provide<br \/>sessions related to holistic health topics at the assigned locations.<br \/>4. Follow up on the activities and ensure successful implementation of the project activities.<br \/>5. Conduct regular check-in visits, and attend random youth and parents\u2019 activities, to ensure<br \/>that they are going according to the project\u2019s quality minimum standards, work plan and<br \/>scope of work.<br \/>6. Support the project admin officer in the areas of Procurement, logistics, Admin, and staff<br \/>supporting CAHs.<br \/>M&amp;E<br \/>7. Prepare monthly progress reports, including challenges and recommendations.<br \/>8. Ensure Quality Management standards are mainstreamed for effective implementation of<br \/>the project at youth centers.<br \/>9. Ensure direct communication with M&amp;E leads and provide support in the data collection<br \/>process.<br \/>10. Follow up on delivering all M&amp;E reports requirements.<br \/>Community Engagement and training<br \/>11. Lead participants outreach, training space setup and co-facilitation with trainers.<br \/>12. Co-coordinate with other relevant international and local organizations, local government,<br \/>and other stakeholders at the location to ensure the project is well advertised and that a<br \/>network of relevant practitioners in the field is established.<br \/>Others<br \/>13. Provide support for organizing visits, meetings, events, trainings, and workshops.<br \/>14. Conduct himself\/herself both professionally and personally in such a manner as to bring<br \/>credit to Mercy Corps and to not jeopardize its humanitarian mission.<br \/>15.
