Purpose <\/p>\n
The QA Engineer is responsible for designing and executing the overall testing strategy including functional and performance testing activities for a broad range of applications and platforms. This individual will drive testing strategy with the appropriate combination of business knowledge and technical leadership. The SDET will work closely with software architects and technical leads to define test plans for reliable automated functional testing and scalable performance testing of existing software and new features in development. Duties include creating quality standards for products and testing systems for efficiency, reliability and performance.<\/p>\n
Position Responsibilities <\/p>\n
\uf0a7 Create automated functional and performance tests. <\/p>\n
\uf0a7 Analyze and report test execution results and test coverage metrics. <\/p>\n
\uf0a7 Investigate issues with automation test scripts and follow-up. This includes creating new defect tickets, repairing automated tests, and working with DevOps to resolve environment issues. <\/p>\n
\uf0a7 Organize and manage test design and implementation tasks on one or more project. <\/p>\n
\uf0a7 Review product requirements to identify when requirements are missing, incorrect, or lack clarity. <\/p>\n
\uf0a7 Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for end-to-end scenarios, application integration use cases, and customer reported issues. <\/p>\n
\uf0a7 Conduct manual testing to learn new application behavior and facilitate creating automated tests. <\/p>\n
\uf0a7 Communicate test status, issues and risks to deployment. <\/p>\n
\uf0a7 Work with software development and project management to troubleshoot issues, manage change and mitigate risk. <\/p>\n
\uf0a7 Work collaboratively with team members and peers to complete sprint assignments and produce high quality software. <\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
\uf0a7 Master's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or an IT related discipline, or its equivalent plus 2 years of related experience. Alternatively, will accept a bachelor\u2019s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or an IT related discipline plus 5 years related experience, in lieu of a master\u2019s degree. <\/p>\n
\uf0a7 Experience in functional, non-functional, performance, regression and acceptance testing. <\/p>\n
\uf0a7 Hands on experience in QA automation tools such as Selenium. <\/p>\n
\uf0a7 Ability to work independently and also in a team environment on multiple projects. <\/p>\n
\uf0a7 Knowledge of agile software methodology and use of JIRA. <\/p>\n
\uf0a7 Experience writing UI tests for applications using Javascript frameworks, e.g. Angular and React <\/p>\n
\uf0a7 Experience writing API integration tests for REST APIs and Java applications <\/p>\n
\uf0a7 Experience with Section 508 web application accessibility testing. <\/p>\n
\uf0a7 Experience testing relational database applications, including executing SQL scripts to check test results. <\/p>\n
\uf0a7 Excellent understanding of behavior driven testing and use of tools such as Cucumber. <\/p>\n
\uf0a7 Experience working with software requirements specifications and user documentation. <\/p>\n
\uf0a7 Creative thinking in identifying ways to break the application while doing functional testing. <\/p>\n
\uf0a7 Thorough process knowledge on all phases of Agile and software releases. <\/p>\n
\uf0a7 Excellent analytical, debugging, planning, organizational and communication skills. <\/p>\n
\uf0a7 Detail-oriented and comfortable working with developers, product owners and other project stakeholders. <\/p>\n
\uf0a7 Experience working with in office, remote and offshore teams. <\/p>\n
\uf0a7 Experience reviewing selenium tests and cucumber feature files and understanding ofsystem and console logs. <\/p>\n
\uf0a7 Experience with continuous integration environment such as Jenkins or Travis CI.<\/p>\n
