• To plan and supervise the mine developmental activity, along with Blasting operation work and ensuring strict adherence with the statutory Ministry Rules & regulations.<\/li>\n
• Responsible for Drilling \/ Blasting pattern and Rigs deployment\/ Operation.<\/li>\n
• Responsible for blasting crew and drilling crew planning & controlling.<\/li>\n
• Plan for Explosives and its accessories prior to blasting dates approval from MOI.<\/li>\n
• Follow-up with MOI and Finance Dept. for explosives payments.<\/li>\n
• Weekly 4 to 5 blast to be conducted as per plant requirements.<\/li>\n
• Responsible for fulfilling the MOI requirements on safety measures.<\/li>\n
• Police Escorts & Technician arrangements. <\/li>\n
• Responsible for the method of drilling, blasting and initiation.<\/li>\n
• Coordination with Foreman & Engineer for blasting planning & schedule.<\/li>\n
• Conduct blasting with all necessary safety features as per Qatar Law.<\/li>\n
• Responsible for the powder factor, Fragmentation, Ground vibration, Noise, fly rocks, Air Blast and Back break.<\/li>\n
• Responsible for Misfires & re initiation. <\/li>\n
• Responsible if any accidents related to blasting & drilling operation.<\/li>\n
• Maintaining all blasts records of explosives and its accessories consumption\/ Drill check list\/ ISO documentation\/ Monthly reports.<\/li>\n
• Preplanned Maintenance of drilling equipment\u2019s with Automobile dept.<\/li>\n
• Drill & Blast misc. accessories planning & raising PR. <\/li>\n
• Site Training, weekly safety tool box talks & implementation to the drill & blast crew.<\/li>\n
• Applying & renewal statutory clearances for blaster permit, blasting operation and bunker.<\/li>\n
• Display of Safety sign boards during blasting day.<\/li>\n
• Instructions to gate Security guard & safety officer\/ Site HR about blast days.<\/li>\n
• Food arrangements for Escorts & his crew during blasting day.<\/li>\n
• Blaster Shelter box position. Conducting weekly Safety Tool Box talks and HEMM breakdown status notifying in SAP.<\/li>\n
• Follow safety Rules \/ speed limit & Wear PPE during the working Hours.<\/li>\n
• Sample collection from the drill holes before and after blast and coordinate with lab for test analysis and the same to be updated in the File. <\/li>\n
• SAP postings.<\/li>\n
• Act as Reliever during absence of Shift Mines foreman too with all responsible pile formation work.<\/li>\n
• Accounted for Quantity & Quality Limestone to be blasted as per Plant requirement.<\/li>\n

  • Bachelor degree in Blasting\/Mining Engineering.<\/li>\n
  • Minimum 04 years of experience as Blaster, preferable Cement Factories.<\/li>\n
  • Blasting Licence, preferably issued from Qatar (Validity is beneficial but not essential<\/li>\n
  • Knowledge of SAP system.<\/li>\n
  • Knowledge of Qatar government Blasting regulations.<\/li>\n
  • Knowledge of Mining Plans & Control blasting techniques \/ Drill pattern.<\/li>\n
  • Holding a Qatari Light Vehicle Driving Licence.<\/li>\n
  • Knowledge of Mining bench developmental work & survey.<\/li>\n
  • Relevant ISO training is beneficial.<\/li>\n
  • Good knowledge of Local safety Mining & Blasting Rule. <\/li>\n
