1. To act within Technical hierarchy in matters of Decision making employing Underwriting and Commercials skills<\/p>\n

2. Being the First point of referral for Technical persons within the underwriting team <\/p>\n

3. Provide timely overview of the underwriting performances to the Management and suggestions to improve the same over time. <\/p>\n

4. Be able to analyze the effect of LOB of underwriting on the company\u2019s overall performance <\/p>\n

5. Functional Scope within Day to day decision making on matters having technical perspective<\/p>\n

6. Technical Vs Commercial Interest conflict and priority <\/p>\n

7. Link and liaise with Operational function forming a part of deliverance to end customer and take decisions in bridging gaps if any <\/p>\n

8. Ensure timely deliverance of policy issuance from the Underwriting Team and track conversions <\/p>\n

9. Manage Underwriting Department undertakes and signs off the Product Trainings to the team <\/p>\n

10. All People related matters \u2013 Team performance, Team play, succession plan, Grievance handling, conflict resolution<\/p>\n

11. Manage and strike balances in top and bottom lines of all Business Categories within the scope in liaison with the AGM <\/p>\n

12. Communicate with Reinsurers on best Facultative deals <\/p>\n

13. Assist in complaints handling process \u2013 As first point of redress before CRM updation<\/p>\n

14. Provide areas of process improvement aimed towards achieving the Alghanim pillars<\/p>\n

15. GWP and Loss ratio P\/L responsibility<\/p>\n

16. Create and manage a uniform and single platform SLA not in conflict with the final customer <\/p>\n

17. Instrumental in Setting up quality parameters and Guidelines- Underwriting team function to Technical Committee <\/p>\n

18. Broker Management <\/p>\n

19. Building relationships with existing channels in securing new accounts <\/p>\n

20. Manage and tabulate all necessary Treaty Renewal stats and information ; act next to AGM for all matters in relation to annual treaty formulation <\/p>\n

21. Create new Broker Links <\/p>\n

22. Be in charge of all monthly and quarterly closings and reporting with Finance <\/p>\n

23. Be updated with changes in the Marketplace and future trending, all lines of business <\/p>\n

Education <\/p>\n

\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s\/Master\u2019s Degree or equivalent in any discipline with Mathematics as one of the subjects<\/p>\n

\u2022 Certification in Insurance minimum CERT CII or equivalent. (FIII \/ACII\/AINS\/CPCU\/AHIP \/LOMA\/CRIS\/ARe\/ARM or their equivalent shall be an added advantage)<\/p>\n

Experience <\/p>\n

\u2022 5 -7 years in the field of life and medical insurance <\/p>\n

\u2022 Minimum 3 years of experience with technical decision making & in a supervisor role<\/p>\n

\u2022 Sound relationship and leadership skills, policies and procedures<\/p>\n

\u2022 Strong in analytics and numerical <\/p>\n

\u2022 Excellent communication skills <\/p>\n

\u2022 Microsoft office competency<\/p>\n
