The company is building out a new Data program and are now at the implementation phase for the MS Azure Data Lake. As such we are looking for 2 Power BI Developers \/ Engineers. <\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Experience required:<\/p>\n
\u2022 Power BI, DAX<\/p>\n
\u2022 End-to-end Data Warehouse Development and Reporting<\/p>\n
\u2022 Strong SQL and T-SQL experience<\/p>\n
\u2022 Exposure to Azure cloud environment<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
\u2022 Ingesting data from a variety of data sources and performing required transformations using Power Query and Data Flows.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Data modelling capabilities including designing effective BI data models in line with the Kimball methodology and best practice.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Developing calculations in DAX which are accurate and performant on large datasets.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Designing effective layouts and designs working closely with our digital design team to ensure optimal user experience and that accessibility requirements are met.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Utilising the navigation features in Power BI (e.g., bookmarks, drill through) to guide readers through a compelling data-driven story.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Working with our testing team to manage the processes around client User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and fixing any defects identified.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Publishing reports via the Power BI service, managing them through distribution of apps and monitoring usage\/data refreshes\/security access (N.B> for large scale deployments this is often undertaken by our managed services team).<\/p>\n
\u2022 Working closely with clients, gathering requirements and translating them.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Shaping an approach for governance and deployment of Power BI in large organisations, including advising on licensing, distribution\/sharing, training, support and best practices.<\/p>\n
