Duties and Responsibilities<\/h2>\n

Coordinate and\/or receive\/dispatch commodities including Transhipment (truck to truck) against official approved documentation (e.g., waybills and\/or delivery notes) ensuring accuracy in the physical count of commodities including the quality in compliance with the established standards.
\u2022 Supervise the loading of the cargo on the shunting trucks moving to the Airside for loading onto the aircraft and ensure only sound cargo is loaded onto the trucks.
\u2022 Issue waybills for all outgoing cargo originating from the Warehouse inside AAIA (MSUs and TCUs) for WFP or other inter-agency partners.
\u2022 Review, verify and sign off warehouse and transport documents, and ensure accurate maintenance of confidential files and warehouse transaction records (e.g., stack cards and ledgers) to enable immediate reporting on commodity movements in line with the corporate requirements.
\u2022 Coordinate with the warehouse managing contractors on the coding\/stamping of food bags\/cartons loaded from the warehouse and each partner should have their specifically assigned codes.
\u2022 Conduct daily warehouse closing reconciliation and accurate inventory checks supporting internal control systems in compliance with the warehouse management requirements.
\u2022 Perform daily inspections and prepare daily reports on the quantity and quality of the commodities received\/dispatched and handled, detect promptly, and analyze reasons for stock discrepancies\/damages, investigate the missing quantity and prepare warehouse loss reports recommending appropriate solutions, to enable informed decision-making.
\u2022 Support regular physical stock inventory exercises, to ensure compliance with IPSAS and standard business requirements.
\u2022 Implement appropriate measures to safeguard food and non-food commodities, to ensure quality control using standard preventive measures in line with WFP-established procedures.
\u2022 Monitor the condition of the warehouse and commodities and take appropriate actions, to support efficient warehouse space planning and well-organized commodity storage following WFP warehouse standards.
\u2022 Provide supervision, guidance, and on-the-job training to warehouse staff, supporting their development and high performance.
\u2022 Request for fuel and oil for the generators and ensure refuelling is done regularly while updating the logbook with all details.
\u2022 Perform any duties assigned by the supervisor.<\/p>\n

Minimum Qualifications<\/h2>\n

Education: Completion of secondary school education. An advanced diploma in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, economics, and social science or a related functional area is required. A degree in the related functional area is an added advantage<\/p>\n

Experience: At least four (4) years of relevant professional work experience in Supply Chain.<\/p>\n

Language: Fluency in both oral and written communication in English and Somali is required<\/p>\n
