BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:<\/p>\n

The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) is the world's largest humanitarian agency, fighting hunger worldwide. We are seeking to fill the position of Data Visualization Analyst consultant, based in the Business Development & Digital Transformation unit at our Headquarters in Rome, Italy.<\/p>\n

The Data Visualization Analyst will support the MSDD Budget & Data Analyst in creating and maintaining Tableau dashboards and reports for MSDD and other WFP units, according to needs and demands of units and divisions.<\/p>\n

She\/he will be helping the MSDD unit in (but not limited to) the following duties: <\/p>\n

\n
• Generate dashboards, reports, produce analytics and other BI solutions using Tableau (online and desktop)<\/li>\n
• Identify, examine, and processes raw data and trends for multiple databases<\/li>\n
• Construct strategical KPIs for the different services<\/li>\n
• Analyze business process and data flows<\/li>\n
• Analyze and verify data: research data sources and ensure accuracy of existing data<\/li>\n
• Implement and maintain new visualizations that support large data sets and analytics methodologies<\/li>\n
• Support data mapping processes<\/li>\n
• Support user access\/authorization process<\/li>\n
• Maintain databases and dashboards, and provide technical support and assistance<\/li>\n
• Train others in the use of the databases or software system<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

Due to the nature of the tasks, telecommuting availability is required and fostered for tasks not requiring close coordination with the HQ team.<\/p>\n

  QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

  \n Education:<\/p>\n<\/td>\n	\n \n University Degree in statistics, economics, mathematics, business administration<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
  \n Work Experience, <\/p>\n Technical Skills & Knowledge:<\/p>\n<\/td>\n	\n \n Minimum of two years of experience as a Data Visualization Specialist<\/li>\n Experience using Tableau for the creation of dashboards, standard reports and ad-hoc reports<\/li>\n Experience working with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server)<\/li>\n Experience with advanced data visualization topics such as complex calculations, table calculations, parameters, geographic mapping, and performance optimization<\/li>\n Experience working with multiple disparate data sources<\/li>\n Understanding of data modeling techniques<\/li>\n Familiar with Data Visualization best practices<\/li>\n Excellent client interaction, problem solving & communication skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
