JOB PURPOSE<\/h2>\n

The cook will prepare meals and follow establishment recipes. Duties include preparing ingredients, adhering to the guest house menu, and following food health and safety procedures. Work may include operating a grill, oven, fryer and other kitchen equipment.<\/p>\n

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)<\/h2>\n

• Setting up, cleaning, and organizing work in kitchen<\/li>\n
• Preparing ingredients for the daily menu as per pre-decided menu; washing vegetables, chopping, seasoning meat, etc.<\/li>\n
• Preparing oven, utensils, and grill on daily basis<\/li>\n
• Maintain the hygiene standards for kitchen and him\/herself.<\/li>\n
• Cooking meals according to food health and safety standards<\/li>\n
• Recommending ideas for specials or seasonal dishes<\/li>\n
• Manage other employees in the kitchen<\/li>\n
• Devises new recipes<\/li>\n
• Dressing order for presentation<\/li>\n
• Estimates expected food consumption and organizes preparation<\/li>\n
• Respect the meals timing and make the meals ready on time<\/li>\n
• Storing all food properly<\/li>\n
• Sanitizing and cleaning kitchen equipment and utensils<\/li>\n
• Reordering stock and food supplies<\/li>\n
• Monitoring other cooks and team members<\/li>\n
• Assisting other cooks in preparing food or helping other team members when needed.<\/li>\n
• Cook special meals for staff with special needs.<\/li>\n
• Perform any additional tasks might be advised by the supervisor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS<\/h2>\n

  Education:
  Completion of secondary school education.
  Experience:
  Two or more years of related experience in site maintenance and basic record keeping.
