The main responsibility includes but is not limited to greeting and guiding guests & customers to their seats, presenting clean menus in an accommodating and professional manner; and taking and serving orders. Duties & Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\u00a7 Greet and seat guests; present menus and explain the course when asked, and always strive to exceed guests\u2019 expectations.<\/p>\n
\u00a7 Take names on a waiting list, run the floor plan board, and fill to-go orders whenever necessary.<\/p>\n
\u00a7 Observe tables and keep track of clean, dirty, and occupied tables.<\/p>\n
\u00a7 Clean, organize, and stock menus in the host area.<\/p>\n
\u00a7 Answer phone and answer questions concerning the menu and the GB Cafe culture.<\/p>\n
\u00a7 Interact with guests as they arrive\/ as they leave to ensure a positive dining experience.<\/p>\n
\u00a7 Make suggestions based on customers' preferences.<\/p>\n
\u00a7 Take and timely serve orders, up-sell when appropriate, deliver bills and collect payments.<\/p>\n
\u00a7 Arrange table settings, always keep tables clean and tidy.<\/p>\n
\u00a7 Check products for quality before serving to customers.<\/p>\n
\u00a7 Cooperate and communicate with all serving and kitchen staff.<\/p>\n
\u00a7 Adhere to all relevant health department rules\/regulations and all customer service guidelines.<\/p>\n
Requirements:<\/p>\n
\u00a7 High school diploma<\/p>\n
\u00a7 1-2 years of fine dining and hotel experience<\/p>\n
\u00a7 Ability to stand for several hours and able to lift at least 20 lbs.<\/p>\n
\u00a7 Customer Focus even in a fast-paced environment.<\/p>\n
\u00a7 Communicate well in English and able to follow instructions.<\/p>\n
\u00a7 Stress Management\/Composure; confident and charming.<\/p>\n
