Two <\/strong>traineeships<\/strong> of up to<\/strong> 6 months<\/strong> within the following sections of the EU Delegation to Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein, starting in March2023, subject to availability of the budget<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

Main tasks: <\/strong><\/p>\n

• Assisting in the preparation and follow-up of meetings with Member States and representatives of the host country or the EU<\/li>\n
• Contribute to notes to the EEAS Headquarters and the European Commission<\/li>\n
• Conduct reports and briefings about diverse EU\/Swiss policy topics related to the economy and trade (e.g. in the areas of finance, sustainability, digitalisation)<\/li>\n
• Monitor economic developments in Switzerland and Liechtenstein<\/li>\n
• Participate in diplomatic meetings and conferences with Swiss authorities and third States\u2019 representatives<\/li>\n
• Evaluate and monitor the implementation of EU-Switzerland bilateral agreements by the Swiss authorities<\/li>\n
• Provide support for the organisation and the communication of public diplomacy events and visits of EU officials to Switzerland and Liechtenstein.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  • Excellent knowledge of English, French and German (working languages of the Delegation)<\/li>\n
  • Good knowledge of international trade and economics, as well as of European institutions<\/li>\n
  • A master's degree is an asset<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Important information to read before applying<\/strong><\/p>\n

      Before applying<\/strong> you are requested to examine the dedicated website<\/a> as well as the general eligibility criteria<\/a> for a paid traineeship (Article 8 of the Decision ADMIN(2017)28 \u2013 Paid traineeship)<\/p>\n

      Each selected trainee will receive a monthly grant to cover living expenses. All costs related to travel inside the country of residence, visa, insurance, accommodation must be borne by the trainee.<\/p>\n

      Applications from non-eligible candidates will not be considered. After the evaluation of all applications, shortlisted candidates will be contacted and invited for an interview. Unsuccessful candidates will be notified by email. In case the selected candidate is not able to present the required documents, his\/her candidacy will be rejected.<\/p>\n

      Non-resident candidates must provide proof that they will be covered against the risk of a pandemic and the costs of repatriation.<\/strong><\/p>\n

      The traineeships can only be offered in compliance with the local legislation as well as the legislation of the country of origin. In assessing the applications received, account will need to be taken of the COVID-19 situation and its possible effects on access possibilities to the country of assignment and thus candidates currently residing in country of assignment might be preferred.<\/strong><\/p>\n

      The Delegation informs that even if our Headquarters confirm the eligibility of the selected candidate, traineeships could be postponed, suspended or even cancelled considering the very evolving context of the COVID-19 outbreak in the host country as well as in the country of origin. The same rule apply if a selected candidate is unable to reach the country of assignment.<\/strong><\/p>\n
