Job Description
The Project Control will be responsible for driving cross functional cost walks from OTR (order to remittance) budget at handover through completion of a new unit project. The following activities will part of the responsibilities of the Project Control on multiple projects in parallel:
Cost tracking<\/p>\n

\n
• Development of cost execution plans (e.g., cost curves) by functions<\/li>\n
• Run weekly and monthly detailed cost reports by project scope<\/li>\n
• Monitor budget line items on weekly basis and identify variances above a threshold that should be escalated for mitigation<\/li>\n
• Maintain budget version control to ensure agreed budget changes are updated in budget forecast<\/li>\n
• Work with budget owners to estimate Cost to Complete based on actual costs, commitment costs, and potential variation orders<\/li>\n
• Work with scheduler to ensure project schedule aligned with cost curves<\/li>\n
• Support Bill of Quantity (BOQ) quantity tracking tied to unit costs (vs budget and latest forecast)<\/li>\n
• Work with business to prepare for PMR reviews on quarterly\/bi-annual basis<\/li>\n
• Monitor\/track CTC spend\/release – early key indicators<\/li>\n
• Provide feedback to Sales\/ITO (Inquiry to Order)\/IPM (Internal Project Manager ( on lessons learned for future bids\/budgets – current gap<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  Minimize leakage<\/p>\n

  • Evaluate risk & opportunity<\/li>\n
  • Monitor project risk release<\/li>\n
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses on estimating headwinds cost implications<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Cost out reporting<\/p>\n

    • Provide cost out team with cost line item assumptions<\/li>\n
    • Support initiative owners to estimate savings associated with their cost-out ideas using GE internal cost benchmark data<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Change order reporting<\/p>\n

      \n
      • Coordinate functional estimates for change order cost<\/li>\n
      • Track variance to budget of approved change orders (actual vs planned spend)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Claim reporting<\/p>\n

        \n
        • Estimate costs associated with claims projects claims<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          Required Qualifications<\/p>\n

          \n
          • Bachelors degree in engineering, finance, or related technical major or equivalent experience<\/li>\n
          • Proven detailed cost analytics experience<\/li>\n
          • Several years work experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
