Electrical Engineer (Design) – Infrastructure & Industrial project experience
Abu Dhabi, UAE
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Electrical Design Engineer to join our team! In this role you will be involved in design and engineering of infrastructure and industrial projects.
What You'll Be Doing:<\/p>\n

\n
• Perform design calculations related to electrical works such as low voltage distribution network, medium voltage and high voltage networks, substations, pump stations, water and wastewater treatment plants, industrial plant electrification, standby power systems , AC\/ DC power systems protection and controls and ELV systems using governing engineering formulas, standards , skills, and experience.<\/li>\n
• General Arrangements, Layouts and plans. Single line diagrams, protection diagrams, schematic diagrams<\/li>\n
• prepare design options and documents <\/li>\n
• Value engineering studies<\/li>\n
• Extracts engineering information from CAD drawings.<\/li>\n
• Prepares engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs<\/li>\n
• Frequently interfaces with other Engineering disciplines as well as other departments<\/li>\n
• Reviews shop drawings, supplier drawing and technical submittals<\/li>\n
• Prepares and issues specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents<\/li>\n
• Performs technical tender analyses and prepares tender evaluation report<\/li>\n
• Provides technical guidance to CAD Designers, Drafters, and lower level Engineers working on the same project<\/li>\n
• Prepare electrical engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, surveys, designs, specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  What Required Skills You'll Bring:<\/p>\n

  \n
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from a major University, Professional Engineer registration may be required.<\/li>\n
  • Minimum 7+ years of electrical design experience on infrastructure and industrial projects<\/li>\n
  • Aware of International design practices , standards such as IEC , BS , ANSI.<\/li>\n
  • Worked on projects with local utility companies ADDC, TRANSCO, DEWA , FEWA etc. and well versed with their specifications and systems<\/li>\n
  • Extensive and knowledgeable computer skills (AutoCAD)<\/li>\n
  • Ability to implement Quality Management System on projects effectively<\/li>\n
  • Good spoken and written English is essential<\/li>\n
  • Strong background in cost estimation for scope of work development and subcontractor specifications and equipment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    What Required Skills You'll Bring:<\/p>\n

    • Proficiency in utilizing CAD and other engineering design software packages such as ETAP, CYME, PS Sincal Dialux or similar<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
