Position Summary<\/p>\n
The position is responsible for supporting day-to-day lab operations by maintaining and tracking inventory, assisting with user space allocation, and maintaining laboratory facilities.<\/p>\n

Job Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\n
Raises purchase requisitions and PRFs for purchasing lab supplies and services for the basic lab support core and other labs when required.<\/li>\n
Performs goods receipt posting and reporting. Keeps accurate records for review and follows up with FABS for posting and payment.<\/li>\n
Prepares updates maintains inventory reports and invoices and replenishes stocks as required.<\/li>\n
Coordinates with FABS to track requisitions status and shipment deliveries.<\/li>\n
Maintains the space allocation database and assists in initiating SPRF for the new hire, user relocation, and space modification.<\/li>\n
Provides basic training on core equipment to the lab users as required.<\/li>\n
Assists lab team with operating and maintaining core facilities (sterilizers, ovens, media washers, gas supply, and water purification systems) and collection of laboratory waste, labware and media while following established guidelines and SOPs.<\/li>\n
Assists the lab team when required with receiving, processing and delivery of research shipments and central store orders.<\/li>\n
Perform other duties as assigned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

Bachelors\u2019 Degree in any discipline (preferably Basic Sciences\/ Laboratory Technology) with 4-5 years experience in laboratory, hospital, or research setup.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities<\/p>\n

Knowledge of laboratory consumables and inventory.<\/li>\n
Attention to detail with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.<\/li>\n
Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in demanding timeframes.<\/li>\n
Good written and verbal communication skills.<\/li>\n
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
