The purpose of the Products Portfolio & Pricing Manager is to ensure that commercial, yet profitable product ranges are developed and bought in order to maximize profit and sales. Ensure that stores, shelves or websites are stocked with the right types and quantities of products<\/li>\n
Planning product ranges and preparing sales and stock plans in conjunction with buyers<\/li>\n
Optimize sales volume and profitability by identifying profitable lines and bestsellers<\/li>\n
Liaising with buyers, analysts, stores, suppliers and distributors<\/li>\n
Ensuring up to date product range in all retail shops<\/li>\n
Planning budgets and presenting sales forecasts and figures for new ranges<\/li>\n
Working closely with visual display staff and department heads to decide how goods should be displayed to maximise sales<\/li>\n
Display, arrange, price, and rotate products in store<\/li>\n
Maintain store shelves by removing dated or damaged products<\/li>\n
Monitor store inventory based on sales and intake<\/li>\n
Make recommendations for promotional strategies using sales and pricing data<\/li>\n
Work and communicate with buyers, suppliers, stores, and distributors<\/li>\n
Identifying the right price point for the products on a weekly basis<\/li>\n
Maintaining awareness of competitors' Product ranges, Pricing and performance<\/li>\n
Analysing every aspect of bestsellers (for example, the bestselling price points, colours or styles) and ensuring that they reach their full potential<\/li>\n
Monitoring slow sellers and taking action to reduce prices or set promotions as necessary<\/li>\n
Gathering information on customers' reactions to products<\/li>\n
Analysing the previous season's sales and reporting on the current season's lines<\/li>\n
Making financial presentations to senior managers<\/li>\n
Accompanying buyers on visits to manufacturers to appreciate production processes<\/li>\n
Meeting with suppliers and managing the distribution of stock, by negotiating cost prices, ordering stock, agreeing timescales and delivery dates and completing the necessary paperwork<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
