BACKGROUND: The Azraq Education and Community Fund is a United States and Jordan-based registered non-profit operating a non-formal education program for Syrian refugees and vulnerable Jordanians in the rural and underserved community of South Azraq, Jordan. <\/p>\n

SCOPE OF WORK: <\/p>\n

• Lead fundraising activities by actively pursuing opportunities to promote and support AECF programs to foundations, high wealth donors, larger institutions (i.e. Government, UN), and individuals <\/li>\n
• Meet specific fundraising and communications goals as laid out by the Management team <\/li>\n
• Increase public recognition, foster a positive image of AECF and The Azraq Education Center, and strengthen brand awareness, credibility and acceptance through external communication including social media and newsletters, supported by the Program team <\/li>\n
• Develop an external communications and fundraising strategy in alignment with the overall program goals <\/li>\n
• Plan, monitor, and evaluate external communication activities. <\/li>\n
• Position The Azraq Education Center as a strong partner to implement local activities with Jordan-based partners and NGOs, including schools, embassies, UN organizations, and more <\/li>\n
• Provide regular communications expertise to the leadership and programming teams <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  • Note: this is not an entry level position <\/li>\n
  • Bilingual Arabic and English required <\/li>\n
  • 3+ years experience in development, communications, marketing or other relevant field <\/li>\n
  • Must be able to work at least 1 full day per week from The Azraq Education Center in South Azraq, Jordan, and be willing to travel to Azraq for other work related activities from time to time <\/li>\n
  • Ability to work independently, exercise good judgment, and have high attention to detail. <\/li>\n
  • Competency in Microsoft Office and other design programs (i.e. Canva, Illustrator) <\/li>\n
  • Effective communication and writing skills, in English and Arabic <\/li>\n
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment. <\/li>\n
  • Patience, understanding, flexibility, and an unceasingly positive attitude. <\/li>\n
