You\u2019ll quickly become an expert in a range of duties:<\/p>\n

• You\u2019ll handle investigations of theft and loss,<\/li>\n
• You\u2019ll master Loss Exposure and Loss Controls analysis,<\/li>\n
• You\u2019ll learn your way around physical security systems and controls,<\/li>\n
• You\u2019ll collaborate with contractor guard services,<\/li>\n
• You\u2019ll partake in Loss Prevention education and awareness programs,<\/li>\n
• And you\u2019ll get involved in workplace violence mitigation, as well as Loss Prevention audit programs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  Your role and responsibilities:<\/p>\n

  <\/p>\n

  As you train and become a Security and Loss Prevention Specialist, you\u2019ll own:<\/p>\n

  • Physical security<\/li>\n
  • Conduct Physical Security audits,<\/li>\n
  • Troubleshoot Physical Security systems (LENEL, CAMIQ, VISION, and so on),<\/li>\n
  • Review and improvement of PS systems,<\/li>\n
  • – Personnel security<\/li>\n
  • Train small groups in matters of security,<\/li>\n
  • Advise on personnel security matters,<\/li>\n
  • – Security management<\/li>\n
  • Represent the interests of Security and Loss Prevention in leadership meetings,<\/li>\n
  • Participate in the selection of new contract security personnel,<\/li>\n
  • Provide advice and guidance to contract security personnel,<\/li>\n
  • Communicate with security service providers,<\/li>\n
  • Communication of security related topics to all relevant stakeholders,<\/li>\n
  • Lead Security and Loss Prevention projects with limited scale or scope,<\/li>\n
  • Participate in large scale, Fulfillment Center-wide projects,<\/li>\n
  • – Resilience<\/li>\n
  • Review and continuously improve Security and Loss Prevention processes,<\/li>\n
  • Identify and communicate Security and Loss Prevention risks to operational management,<\/li>\n
  • Act as point of contact in emergency or critical circumstances,<\/li>\n
  • – Investigation<\/li>\n
  • Conduct preliminary analysis and subsequent investigation of losses,<\/li>\n
  • Effectively use resources for data mining, CCTV and other surveillance, for purposes of loss analysis and investigations,<\/li>\n
  • Conduct forensic interviews, based on analytical results,<\/li>\n
  • Conduct interviews when any cases of policy violations arise,<\/li>\n
  • Report investigation results,<\/li>\n
  • Act as point of contact for law enforcement authorities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      • Utilization of physical security systems,<\/li>\n
      • Investigation techniques,<\/li>\n
      • Effective oversight of contract security officers,<\/li>\n
      • As well as loss mitigation experience in logistics\/distribution center settings,<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        – Previous experience with warehouse or distribution centre services,<\/p>\n

        • Must have strong oral and written communication skills,<\/li>\n
        • Familiarity with databases (for querying and analysing), such as SQL, Access, etc.,<\/li>\n
        • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma concepts desirable,<\/li>\n
        • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and multi-tasking environment,<\/li>\n
        • Demonstrated ability to work independently, even with off-site supervision,<\/li>\n
