Qualifications:<\/p>\n

• Education & Professional Qualification: Shall have a related electrical qualification <\/li>\n
• Professional Experience: Considerable survey equipment experience <\/li>\n
• Geographic Experience: Middle East experience an advantage <\/li>\n
• Computer Skills: Computer literate, with a good appreciation of hardware, software and operating systems is essential <\/li>\n
• Language Skills: Good command of the English language, both written and spoken <\/li>\n
• Market\/Industry\/Functional Knowledge: Experience with acoustic positioning and survey systems including but not limited to the following\n

  • DGPS systems <\/li>\n
  • Gyro <\/li>\n
  • Underwater Gyro <\/li>\n
  • USBL systems <\/li>\n
  • SSS <\/li>\n
  • SB <\/li>\n
  • and MB echo sounders <\/li>\n
  • Sub bottom profilers <\/li>\n
  • Magnetometer <\/li>\n
  • Good experience in electronic communication protocols<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Task Description:<\/p>\n

    \n
    • TOperate competently all relevant Positioning\/survey equipment <\/li>\n
    • Responsible for the maintenance repair and operational status of all Positioning\/survey equipment mobilized onboard the survey vessel <\/li>\n
    • Fault finding, repair and maintenance of electronic, computer and electromechanical equipment <\/li>\n
    • Ensure that all equipment failures are documented and reported to technical department <\/li>\n
    • Installation and interfacing of equipment and data communications networks on board ships <\/li>\n
    • Calibration and verification of measuring devices <\/li>\n
    • Operating surface and underwater positioning systems\/ Operating geophysical survey systems <\/li>\n
    • Identify faults and effect repairs as and when required to maintain operation status of all equipment and data network <\/li>\n
    • Liaise with offshore Survey Engineers during operations <\/li>\n
    • Test and interface survey sensors and systems to vessel, ROV, online and offline systems <\/li>\n
    • Keep abreast of relevant technical developments, working practices and department procedures <\/li>\n
    • Follow specified systems, processes and procedures, implemented in the workplace, to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and other requirements\/standards <\/li>\n
    • Work safely at all times, protecting the health and safety of everyone in the workplace <\/li>\n
    • Perform other job-related duties as assigned <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
