Job purpose:
To ensure that remittances are accounted for in a timely and professional manner.
principal accountabilities:<\/p>\n

\n
• Daily receive all remittances (cash and cheques) from couriers, front counter and express centers. (duty payments, cash sales, cod and clients accounts payment).<\/li>\n
• Reconcile cash sales, monitoring all un-remitted cash sales, to resolve all un-manifested AWB's and to detect all other reconciled items affecting both the Cash Receipt Book and Manifest Lists (e.g. over\/under manifested AWB's).<\/li>\n
• Input daily account payments and reconcile the Cash Batch Status printouts against the Daily Collection Report.<\/li>\n
• Reconcile all Sub Station reports by checking all Deposit Slips, Account Payments and AWB's against submitted Weekly Receipts Summary.<\/li>\n
• Check all substation Daily Cash Summary Reports against Manifest List to see if all cash sales have been remitted.<\/li>\n
• Accounts Payment are being reconciled against cash batch status to daily collection reports (CRB)<\/li>\n
• Update TTD and COD schedule and follow up of returned cheques.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  NATURE AND SCOPE:
  Reporting Relationships: Reports to Area Provincial Finance Manager. Contact with Area Operational and sales Staff, plus DHA CO Finance staff.
  Problem Solving: The ability to systematically think through a situation logically and accurately analyzing all relevant data when making decisions and providing recommendations.
