About The Team<\/strong><\/p>\n
The Regional Communications Manager is the face of Careem for media stakeholders across Jordan and Iraq as well as a key contributor to country leadership forums and an important member of the central Corporate Affairs Team. This professional communicator will work closely with Careem\u2019s leadership to ensure all colleagues in these markets are informed about key developments in the business and aligned to the company\u2019s strategic goals and objectives. This colleague will draw on his or her extensive communications experience to tell Careem\u2019s stories through traditional and digital media in creative, thoughtful and compelling ways. Based in Amman, this role is integral to supporting the growth of the Super App services across several of Careem\u2019s fast-growing emerging markets.<\/p>\n

The Regional Communications Manager for Jordan and Iraq reports to Careem\u2019s Communications Director and will collaborate on developing ambitious market-specific media and communications strategies. Drive a programme of continuous media engagement across Jordan and Iraq to generate high-quality, impactful coverage of announcements, executive profiles, partnerships and other company news.<\/li>\n
Develop and secure placement of editorial content to position Careem as an industry thought leader.<\/li>\n
Develop and maintain trusted relationships with business and lifestyle media covering Careem\u2019s business sectors, as well as podcast hosts and industry commentators.<\/li>\n
Work with senior business leaders to assess external speaking opportunities across Jordan and Iraq and help spokespeople prepare for speaking engagements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Internal communications

Collaborate with the Social Media team within Corporate Affairs to provide insights on Jordan and Iraq that will help the team tailor Careem\u2019s strategy to engage and grow the vibrant community of online followers across Careem\u2019s four core global corporate social media accounts: LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter and TikTok. Work closely with local market teams to support content on market-specific social media channels.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
