Setting and Reporting<\/p>\n<p>\n                    This position is located in the Office of the Chief of Mission Support (OCMS) in Amman, supporting the Office of the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General for Yemen (OSESGY) and the United Nations Mission to Support the Hudaydah Agreement (UNMHA). The Administrative Officer will report to the Administrative Officer at the P-4 level based in Amman.\n                <\/p>\n<p>                Responsibilities<\/p>\n<p>\n                    The Administrative Officer is responsible for effectively and efficiently supporting all administrative matters related to the Office of the CMS, and providing general administrative support to OCMS staff. Within the limits of delegated authority, the Administrative Officer will perform the following duties: <br \/>Human Resource Management<br \/>\u2022 Effectively coordinates with the Human Resources Section actions related to the administration of human resource activities in OCMS, e.g., recruitment, placement, promotion, performance appraisal, job classification reviews, separation of staff members, training etc., ensuring consistency in the application of UN Rules and Regulations.<br \/>\u2022 Defines conditions of service, duties and responsibilities, and privileges and entitlements under the Staff Rules and Regulations. <br \/>Budget and Finance<br \/>\u2022 Takes the lead with respect to the preparation and implementation of the work programme of OCMS, ensuring that financial resources are utilized to implement activities in accordance with the Programme Budget and allotments issued.<br \/>\u2022 Monitors and reviews the work programme and budget of the OCMS by conducting regular and special reviews to assess progress of actual work versus the programme plan. Technical or vocational certificate in administrative services, finance, human resources, business administration or personnel management is desirable.\n                <\/p>\n<p>                Work Experience<\/p>\n<p>\n                    \u2022 A minimum of ten years of progressively responsible experience within the United Nations system or the private sector in the field of administrative services, finance, accounting, human resources, audit, or in other related fields, of which three (5) years should have been at a supervisory level is required. The minimum years of relevant experience is reduced to five years for candidates who possess a first level University degree.<br \/>\u2022 At least two years\u2019 of experience in coordination and liaison with host governmental authorities is required;<br \/>\u2022 Experience in international operations in a post-conflict environment is desirable.<br \/>\u2022 At least five years of experience providing strategic administrative  advice and support to senior managers, at the Senior level is desirable<br \/>\u2022 Experience in handling complex organizational issues at the regional and international level is desirable.\n                <\/p>\n<p>                Languages<\/p>\n<p>\n                    English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat.
