BACKGROUND: <\/p>\n

WFP is partnering with the Rockefeller Foundation (RF) for a 2.5 years (September 2022- February 2024) USD 10 million programme, titled \u2018Catalyzing good food through school feeding and food-based programs\u2019. The overarching goal of this project is to improve the nutritional quality of diets, food-based safety net sustainability, equity of national food systems, and positive economic impact for local communities.<\/p>\n

JOB PURPOSE:<\/p>\n

Under the overall supervision of the Deputy Country Director and technical supervision by the Head of Social Protection in Accra, the Programme Policy Officer – Communication and Knowledge will be expected to perform the following duties:<\/p>\n

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n

\n
1. Support the team in planning, organizing, and documenting strategic and coordination efforts internally across the country office and with Head Quarters (HQ), as well as with external partners.<\/li>\n
2. Produce regular overview of outputs and activities of the WFP \u2013 Rockefeller partnerships for programme tracking, facilitate information sharing between country office and headquarters specifically:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
   \n
   1. develop a clear concept note, a detailed and extensive dissemination <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      workplan and effectively implementing the workplan to achieve intended goals and objectives.<\/p>\n

      1. assist accurate and timely reporting on programmes and activities to meet <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

         specific reporting requirements of the donor.<\/p>\n

         \n
         1. contribute to maintaining and enhancing data gathering and monitoring <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            systems ensuring that rigorous quality standards are maintained.<\/p>\n

            \n
            1. support and participate in duty travel to project sites, as required.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
               \n
               1. Contribute to the development and coordination of knowledge-based products, such as lessons learned and good practices, particularly the RF partnership project, and dissemination to internal and external partners to inform programme design and implementation, policy coherence and promote sharing and learning between Ghana Country Office (CO) and the other countries and partners. <\/li>\n
               2. Provide comments and ensure quality control to knowledge products and provide guidance on types of knowledge products best suited for each audience. <\/li>\n
               3. In collaboration with school-based programming (SBP), improve the quality, visibility and access of RF Ghana knowledge products on WFP\u2019s corporate platforms WFPGo and GoDocs, to support school feeding officers in country offices, regional bureaux (RB) and HQ, in their efforts to improve the design and implementation of school feeding programmes; ensure materials are up to date and easily accessible. <\/li>\n
               4. In collaboration with SBP, align with Research Consortium\u2019s Good practices Community of Practice in developing and disseminating case studies and best practices<\/li>\n
               5. Draft inputs for briefings, talking points or presentations to support donor engagement and inform decision-making and planning of the CO management.<\/li>\n
               6. Produce and support COs in developing external donor, advocacy and communication products on WFP\u2019s enabling work in RF project and other WFP supported initiatives.<\/li>\n
               7. Support the COs in developing project\/programme proposals to fundraise.<\/li>\n
               8. Support the identification, development and management of potential partnerships for the CO.<\/li>\n
               9. Contribute to the development of communications methods and processes to improve their effectiveness and increase awareness of WFP\u2019s work to the media and stakeholders.<\/li>\n
               10. Perform any other duties as provided from time to time.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                   Minimum Academic Qualifications <\/p>\n

                   A University degree in Communication, Public Administration, Development Studies, International Development, International Relations, Sociology, or other fields relevant to communication and knowledge management. <\/p>\n

                   Desired Experiences for Entry into the role: <\/p>\n

                   Minimum of 2 years of professional experience relevant to communication and knowledge management, preferably contributing to government safety-net programmes, food security and\/or nutrition objectives. <\/p>\n

                   Language: Fluency and good command of the English language is essential<\/p>\n
