Job Function\/ Description:<\/strong><\/p>\n

• Collaborate with project partners to develop communications products informed by program data<\/li>\n
• Work with field teams to identify, collect, develop, and edit success stories highlighting program progress<\/li>\n
• Develop, write, and edit marketing and communications materials, including press releases, blog posts, and social media content in coordination with the partners, for publication on Smart DESERT\u2019s digital channels<\/li>\n
• Regularly share photo and story content on Smart DESERT website and social media platforms<\/li>\n
• Ensure that all communications and marketing material aligns with brand standards<\/li>\n
• Maintain digital media archives including photos and videos<\/li>\n
• Respond to media inquiries and perform media outreach to achieve brand placement in publications<\/li>\n
• Track projects and media exposure as well as update databases and media lists.<\/li>\n
• Support in preparing presentations and reports.<\/li>\n
• Join the team in the field and take professional photos when needed<\/li>\n
• Support the in the collection photographs and video clips for the project.<\/li>\n
• Provide other support as deemed necessary<\/li>\n
• Coordinate with the Communications Manager on all project aspects and tasks assigned<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  Required Education and Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  \n
  • A university degree in a relevant field: communications, information management, journalism, international development, non-profit management;<\/li>\n
  • Minimum 2 years of directly relevant professional experience, preferably in international development or related field<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Skills Required:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
    • Fluency in English and Arabic<\/li>\n
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills; an ability to translate, organize, and present ideas in a concise and logical format including proven ability to summarize lengthy and complex information into short and simple language.<\/li>\n
    • Experience developing reports, success stories, and other tools to communicate project updates<\/li>\n
    • Experience using social media platforms<\/li>\n
    • Experience with photography and videography.<\/li>\n
    • Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision. A proven self-motivated individual capable of working with diverse teams of both national and international staff as well as local government authorities, UN agencies, I\/NGOs and other partners<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
