University of Doha for Science and Technology \u2013 Student Information Systems Department is inviting nominations and applications for the position of Business Analyst, Student Information. Reporting to the Manager, Student Information Systems, Business Analyst, Student Information must possess the skills and expertise necessary to support the Student Information Systems Department of the University and fully implementing UDST\u2019s mission and vision.<\/p>\n
Duties & Responsibilities: <\/p>\n
This position requires a technically sound analyst who will lead the development of aggregated student data reports. S\/He should understand the data requirement of different Student Affairs functions in order to translate them into meaningful data templates and liaise with IT for implementation.<\/p>\n
The successful candidate will lead ongoing reviews of IT-related business processes, develop optimization strategies and also serve as a thought leader for technical business processes, developing forward-thinking systems prototypes that promote increased efficiency and productivity on multiple levels for the Student Affairs, including related test plan creation and execution. <\/p>\n
The successful candidate will plan, develop, execute, and support projects related to development and maintenance of student data. S\/He will design, develop, analyze, implement, and maintain quality and accuracy of reports pertaining to student data.<\/p>\n
The successful candidate will analyze, design and build ad-hoc reports along with analyzing Student Affairs business processes to determine best use of IT capabilities to generate meaningful data and reports also ensuring to maintain integrity of confidential information relating to students.<\/p>\n
The successful candidate will liaise with the Information Technology Directorate to ensure that the software development process has the appropriate level of testing, and rectify issues accordingly by advocating to resolve issues thereby supporting all activities related to system setup requirements, including but not limited to, admissions, registration, scheduling and other related aspects.<\/p>\n
The successful candidate will develop solutions to improve business processes and increase efficiency in the operations of the Student Affairs and manage the Student Affairs\u2019 software application quality assurance and service desk activities, including the tracking of bug reports and change requests ensuring timely resolution.<\/p>\n
The successful candidate will ensure the accuracy and completeness of all data related to students and serve as a techno-functional expert for the Student Affairs and perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.<\/p>\n
Education and Certifications:<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s degree in a relevant field required<\/p>\n
Experience:<\/p>\n
Minimum 4 years of experience in Business Analysis required<\/p>\n
Experience with Student Information Systems (PeopleSoft Campus Solutions) preferable<\/p>\n
Language:<\/p>\n
Fluency in written and spoken English language required<\/p>\n
Fluency in written and spoken Arabic language preferred<\/p>\n
Other Required Skills:<\/p>\n
Highly skilled in applied statistics with analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail, concern for Order and Quality, service excellence along with good time management is ideal. Technical expertise in process design and efficiency, application development, system integration and IT project management are preferred.<\/p>\n
