Responsibilities:
\u00b7 Consulting with
patients and analyzing patient data to determine patient needs and treatment goals.
\u00b7 Examining patients
to diagnose bone, joint, ligament, or other musculoskeletal problems, including
diseases, or injuries.
\u00b7 Collaborating with
other specialists, when necessary, to determine a course of treatment.
\u00b7 Recording patient
care by maintaining detailed notes of appointments with patients, including
comments, tests, and\/or treatments prescribed, and test results.
\u00b7 Administering
general and local anesthetics, when necessary.
\u00b7 Performing surgical
procedures on various parts of the musculoskeletal system, including plating broken bones, reattaching tendons and ligaments or performing joint or hip replacements, among other procedures.
\u00b7 Prescribing
medication to improve recovery and control pain after surgical procedures.
\u00b7 Referring patients
to physical therapy, when necessary, or performing non-invasive procedures such
as casting and splinting limbs.
\u00b7 Monitoring ongoing
progress and health of patients, and changing treatment plans, as necessary.
\u00b7 Providing support
and advice to patients receiving long-term care.
\u00b7 Conducting research
on defects, diseases, and disorders affecting the musculoskeletal system.
Qualifications:
\u00b7 Valid and active medical MOH license
\u00b7 Exceptional attention to detail.
\u00b7 Outstanding hand-eye coordination and dexterity.
\u00b7 Wonderful bedside manner.
\u00b7 Excellent communicator who can empathize with patients.
