Electrical (Transmission Line) Engineer – Power Projects
Transmission line engineer will be tasked with the following job description:<\/p>\n

\n
• Conduct electrical network feasibility and planning studies of oil field transmission and distribution networks<\/li>\n
• Support Project team to develop significant electrical transmission and distribution network engineering solutions<\/li>\n
• Generate cost effective and reliable design for MV and HV overhead lines<\/li>\n
• Prepare planning and detailed project estimates, including engineering, materials, and construction<\/li>\n
• Prepare equipment, material and construction specifications and scope documents for EPC tenders and contracts<\/li>\n
• Perform design document reviews from EPC contractors<\/li>\n
• Perform field oversight of work during construction<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  Experience:<\/p>\n

  \n
  • Experience in a consulting engineering environment, able to rapidly task switch between projects<\/li>\n
  • Broad knowledge of electromechanical, structural, civil, geotechnical, geodesy and geomatic aspects in transmission and distribution engineering.<\/li>\n
  • Familiar with OHL engineering covering route studies, material sizing and selection, material take offs, plan & profile drawings, structural design, diverse calculations, etc.<\/li>\n
  • Experience in designing reliable and economical Network topologies, substation configuration, bus schemes, etc.<\/li>\n
  • Knowledge of OHL Teleprotection and Telecommunication systems<\/li>\n
  • Thorough understanding and knowledge of application software such as PLS-CADD, PLS TOWER, ETAP, and AutoCAD.<\/li>\n
  • Knowledge and understanding of engineering standards: IEC, EN, IEEE, ASCE, ISO, ASTM, ACI, AISC, etc. that related to transmission and distribution design<\/li>\n
  • Preparing cost effective design for EPC projects<\/li>\n
  • Knowledge of design documents preparation and review of HV Grid Substation design including but not limited to- single line diagram, protection and metering diagram, specifications and data sheets of power transformer, power and control cables, CB, CT, PT, ISO, WT, earthing and Lighting<\/li>\n
  • Construction supervision of OHLs<\/li>\n
  • Testing and commissioning of OHLs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Qualifications:<\/p>\n

    \n
    • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering<\/li>\n
    • Minimum 15 years experience in transmission line design<\/li>\n
    • Command of Arabic and English languages is preferred<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
