Your Responsibilities<\/p>\n

• Reporting to the Investment Committee (IC), the Board, and CEO, The Head of Risk's (HOR) role is to manage the companies overall exposure to risk and suggest appropriate mitigations, with a particular focus on investments. The HOR also manages the following:<\/li>\n
• Investment risk<\/li>\n
• Credit risk<\/li>\n
• Enterprise risk<\/li>\n
• Strategic risk<\/li>\n
• The HOR must protect the interests of the shareholders and execute plans and strategies that reflect risk appetite. They also support, recommend, and give advice to the commercial team on business strategy, including and not limited to the geographic and sector concentration.<\/li>\n
• They will provide research and analytical support to the Business Development teams and work closely with all functions across the organisation. The HOR will have five main functions in their role:<\/li>\n
• Be responsible for the design and continuous development of investment, liquidity, and counterparty risk analysis<\/li>\n
• Managing the preparation of risk assessments (including business credit reports) of potential project investments<\/li>\n
• Monitoring the existing portfolio & pipeline of assets to determine any change in risk profile<\/li>\n
• Reporting to the Investment Committee and Board of Directors to defend potential investments<\/li>\n
• Enterprise Risk Management – Design and implement a risk register and a proactive risk management framework.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  Your Qualifications<\/p>\n

  \n
  • MSc\/MA in Business, Finance, Economics or a related field<\/li>\n
  • 10+ years of experience in credit, risk, and\/or corporate banking roles within the financial services industry (with focus in credit risk)<\/li>\n
  • Mastery of credit risk processes and policies<\/li>\n
  • Comfort in reviewing and constructively negotiating watertight legal documentation from a business risk standpoint<\/li>\n
  • Experience in risk assessment and control, balancing risk efforts with business growth objectives<\/li>\n
  • Experience in working in a multinational and multi-segment environment with a reporting matrix<\/li>\n
  • Experience in working on large complex multinational projects<\/li>\n
  • Experience developing rating models and risk scoring<\/li>\n
  • Fluency in English a must and Arabic is a plus<\/li>\n
  • Preferred:<\/li>\n
  • Professional Risk Manager (PRM) certification<\/li>\n
  • Experience managing remote teams across various geographies<\/li>\n
  • Experience in the Renewable industry.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
