Lead the implementation of high level technical expertise in Civil\/Structural engineering, requiring analytical, interpretative and constructive thinking with a significant degree of evaluative judgement, to ensure the highest level of engineering integrity and reliability, and safety and environmental compliance.<\/p>\n

Oversees Civil\/Structural engineering discipline during FEED phase and future EPC phase, in covering all aspects of civil\/structural design to ensure technical objectives are met within the approved scope, budget and schedule. <\/p>\n

Key Job Accountabilities:<\/p>\n

Provide Civil\/Structural Engineering knowledge, design, quality assurance and expertise while managing the Civil\/structural team in accordance with project deliverables and execution schedule.<\/p>\n

Direct the preparation and stewardship of Civil\/Structural Engineering scope of work in FEED\/EPC contract, advise and recommend design procedures, processes, deliverables and alternative studies, as required, to optimise project cost and schedule.<\/p>\n

During FEED\/EPC execution the position is responsible for verifying the design and implementation of civil\/structural engineering deliverables including approvals of pipe rack and foundation calculations<\/p>\n

Lead site surveys to validate design and Implement the MOC process for all aspects of the Project execution<\/p>\n
<\/li>\n
Interact with Engineering Team Management to complete multi-discipline engineering activities, ensuring alignment with the Engineering Manager on project engineering needs, objectives, and requirements.<\/p>\n
<\/li>\n
Accountable for ensuring execution of work is technically aligned and in compliance with Qatargas Operations, Policies, Standards of Business Conduct and Qatargas Project Management System (QGPMS).<\/p>\n
<\/li>\n
Manage FEED\/EPC Contractor's Civil\/Structural Engineering activities including validation of personnel numbers, qualifications and experience; usage of appropriate design tools, including computer hardware and software; adherence with all project objectives, requirements, specifications, standards, procedures, execution plans and design verification processes.<\/p>\n

Assess and validate FEED\/EPC Contractor capability in providing all contract documents, progress measurement and reporting, and recommends additional technical support to address gaps.<\/p>\n
<\/li>\n
Manage the technical attachments and scope descriptions for relevant contracts including the timely delivery of all purchase orders.<\/p>\n
<\/li>\n
Responsible for the Civil\/Structural Engineering schedule and related milestones, provide data (narrative, charts, graphs, change management recommendations and recovery plans to address any schedule delays) for monthly progress and stewardship reporting.<\/p>\n
<\/li>\n
Accountable for sharing previous lessons learned and ensuring current lessons learned and captured and communicated to support review teams and future projects.<\/p>\n

Develop, review and amend various policies and procedures to ensure that all Civil\/Structural engineering references are up to date and relevant.<\/p>\n
<\/li>\n
Develops safe, fit-for-purpose technical solutions that meet the intent of project requirements.<\/p>\n
<\/li>\n
Perform as Technical Authority in the Civil\/Structural discipline, demonstrating sufficient expertise to understand and communicate project critical issues.<\/p>\n

Minimum Requirements<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Civil Engineering<\/p>\n
<\/li>\n
Professional registration with accredited Regulatory Body desirable (PE, C.Eng., EUR ING, or equivalent)<\/p>\n
<\/li>\n
8 years\u2019 experience in projects, in civil\/structural discipline including FEED, detailed design and construction phases<\/p>\n
<\/li>\n
Experience in Onshore Oil & Gas Facilities, especially LNG plants<\/p>\n
<\/li>\n
Previous Experience with Civil works in Qatar is preferred<\/p>\n
<\/li>\n
Knowledge in geotechnical, foundations design, drainage, precast concrete, steel structures<\/p>\n
<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
