Checks the scope of the Materials & Welding engineering are fully implemented and control deliverables in terms of quality, schedule & HSE as per Projects requirements.<\/p>\n

Responsible for guidance & review, checking of the EPCI deliverables such as Data sheets, Material specifications, technical specifications, technical Bid evaluation, Requisitions, responsible for the Vendor document review; Interacts with contractors\/vendors and other engineering disciplines as required.<\/p>\n

\n
Establishes a full understanding of the challenges of Materials & Welding and follow-u. Gives advice and recommends the Material selection and welding procedures\/qualifications.<\/p>\n
<\/li>\n
\n
Advises as required with company\u2019s shareholders Technical Authorities (TA) and committees, checks material acquisition including requisitioning, fabrication, testing and transportation of the piping and valves materials.<\/p>\n
<\/li>\n
\n
Coordinates any management of change process (MOC) relating to the Materials &Welding discipline.<\/p>\n
<\/li>\n
\n
Advises NFXP Head of Pipelines Engineering in checking the contractor\u2019s progress on delivery of the required documents.<\/p>\n
<\/li>\n
\n
Close coordination with relevant disciplines to ensure understanding and implementation of the material & welding comments<\/p>\n
<\/li>\n
\n
Coordinate with Subject Matter Experts and ensures endorsement of technical deviations to Company specifications as required.<\/p>\n
<\/li>\n
\n
Maintains compliance with management of change procedures for changes in the contractor\u2019s design or deviations from the company directives.<\/p>\n

Minimum Requirements<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
\n
\n
Bachelor\u2019s degree in mechanical or Metallurgical or Welding Engineering. (Advanced degree is desirable.)<\/p>\n
<\/li>\n
\n
10 years of relevant experience as Material & Welding Specialist in the offshore oil and gas major capital projects environment.<\/p>\n
<\/li>\n
\n
Detailed Knowledge in the International Codes and Standards and Good Engineering Practices applicable to the O&G Offshore facilities.<\/p>\n
<\/li>\n
\n
Significant experience in working with FEED\/EPC Contractors and interfacing with equipment suppliers.<\/p>\n
<\/li>\n
\n
Competent and sound knowledge for Materials & Welding and WPS\/PQRs.<\/p>\n
<\/li>\n
\n
Demonstrated ability and sensitivity to work with people from a variety of cultural backgrounds.<\/p>\n
<\/li>\n
\n
Extensive experience with design and installation of TMCP pipelines, large diameter CRA 826 and 625 fabrication and installation and with material testing and sour service ECA.<\/p>\n
<\/li>\n
\n
Extensive experience with shallow water pipelines.<\/p>\n

\n
Experience working in Qatar or for Qatar energy projects is highly desired.<\/p>\n
