Purpose:<\/p>\n
The multi-skilled operator is a person with ability to work in different positions in gallery, studio and in location, operate graphic, auto-cue, as floor manager, operate the SQ machine and able to assist cameramen on the floor and on location<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Main Duties and Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Provide operational supervision whilst in the Studio<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Support the gallery & studio teams in the delivery of various productions<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Listening to the Director & following their instructions <\/p>\n
\u00b7 Ensuring the health & safety of all who are in the Studio<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Assist cameramen on the floor and on location <\/p>\n
\u00b7 Liaising with the production team(s) about guests<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Ensuring floor plans & health & safety legislation is adhered too<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Ensure that programme run downs and scripts are updated and uploaded into the Auto-script system whilst working on live or pre-recorded programming within studios or outside broadcasts<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Liaise with production and presenters to ensure that scrolling is at the agreed pace whilst on air<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Operate Complex graphic machine <\/p>\n
\u00b7 Ensure all inserts and graphics are correct and running properly<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Ensure that programme packages are uploaded and updated into SQ machine<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Ensure to record all lives shows and pre-records ones<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Listen to directors for any changes and re Load\/download accordingly whilst on air<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Ensure equipment is in full working order before commencing studio shifts or travelling to outside broadcasts and report technical failures.<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Any other relevant duties assigned by the line manager<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Broad knowledge of sound, camera & lighting equipment<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Up to date understanding of Health & Safety legislation in the studio<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Good awareness and attention to detail<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Good understanding of the Studio environment<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Ability to make quick decisions in a pressured environment<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Ability to collaborate, and to work as part of a team<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Ability to carry out instructions with great accuracy and attention to detail<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Ability to frame and compose shots and perform camera moves with precision and speed<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Knowledge of the relevant electronics<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Excellent communication, interpersonal and diplomatic skills<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Physical stamina for working long hours and moving heavy equipment<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Familiar with Graphic machines and engines <\/p>\n
\u00b7 IT literacy skills <\/p>\n
\u00b7 Responding quickly to directions<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Ability to work under pressure and achieve targets within deadline <\/p>\n
\u00b7 Good organisational skills<\/p>\n

Qualifications & Requirements:<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Excellent up to date knowledge of spoken and written modern standard Arabic as a first or equivalent language<\/p>\n
\u00b7 Relevant qualification in photography\/film\/television, communications or media studies, English or business studies preferred.<\/p>\n
2 years experience in a similar role or some of the roles<\/p>\n
