Purpose:<\/p>\n
As a Broadcast Technician you will be responsible for providing engineering support across all areas of the facility including live studios, transmission, and production as well as broadcast creative and on-air graphics workflows.<\/p>\n
Day to day duties will focus on maintaining a wide range of specialist broadcast and IT equipment with responsibilities including providing routine checks, fault finding.<\/p>\n
Minimize loss of broadcast services at times of equipment failure by rapidly identifying and implementing alternative methods to restore the broadcast services.<\/p>\n
Ensure that the broadcast systems are ON AIR without interruption. Perform emergency restoration procedures for broadcast facilities and support operations team during emergency.<\/p>\n

Master Clock (SPG) Glue and other equipment installed in Central Apparatus CAR Rooms<\/li>\n
TX\/Playout full support including Automation System, video Servers, CTX Video Mixer, TX output chain<\/li>\n
MCR Broadcast related systems Support; equipment and transmission links during outside broadcasts<\/li>\n
Immersive System, Weather, Social<\/li>\n
Studios and Gallery equipment support including Audio Mixer, Vision Mixer, Video Walls, Studio Cameras, Robotic System, LED System<\/li>\n
Studios Lighting Systems<\/li>\n
Editing facilities and post-production suites<\/li>\n
KVM system<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Understanding of IT networking infrastructures, file-based technologies and their implementation in a broadcast environment is essential along with:<\/p>\n

Broadcast IT Software Application Support including Media Asset Management and Traffic\/Scheduling Systems<\/li>\n
Good knowledge of Newsroom Computer Systems NCS and Media Object Server (MOS protocol)<\/li>\n
MS and Linux Servers, AD, Clustering, Virtual Machines<\/li>\n
Strong troubleshooting skills, a positive attitude and teamwork.<\/li>\n
Ability to work under pressure in a live news environment and availability to work on-call as needed, including evenings, overnights and weekends.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
