Position: Offshore structural engineer<\/p>\n

Job Location: Qatar<\/p>\n

Project duration: 6 months (5 days\/week & 8 hours\/day)<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Key Tasks and Responsibilities: <\/p>\n

\n
• Prepare \/ review design analyses, calculations and procedures for structural in-service & pre-service engineering analyses deliverables such as: inplace, transportation, lifting, load-out, seafastening\/tie-down, installation, vessel deck layout and modification, ROV platform erection, etc.<\/li>\n
• Be familiar with the project scope of work, specifications, schedule and all inter-discipline requirements; including identifying concerns as early as practicable and taking appropriate initiatives to address the issues.<\/li>\n
• Interface with other departments to obtain input for Discipline designs and drawings.<\/li>\n
• Maintain close co-ordination with other disciplines \/ entities, such as; Project Management Team, Vessel, ROV, Survey, Offshore, Fabrication, Construction, etc. <\/li>\n
• Assist in preparation of estimates for bid proposals, including technical query reviews, execution statements and manhour estimates.<\/li>\n
• Raise technical queries to obtain missing information, clarify work scope, and to maintain preferred Company procedures, specifications, standards, practices and operational requirements.<\/li>\n
• Prepare Discipline engineering design basis, philosophies, and technical specifications, as required.<\/li>\n
• Participate in finalizing deliverables lists and deliverables, ensuring compliance with specifications and functional integrity.<\/li>\n
• Attend project review meetings, vendor meetings, engineering meetings and offshore site surveys, as required.<\/li>\n
• Assist procurement team in procuring Discipline equipment, materials and services; ensuring that work produced complies with Company objectives and procedures.<\/li>\n
• Review vendor and subcontractor submittals, checking for compliance with project specifications and providing comments as necessary.<\/li>\n
• Provide technical support to all fabrication queries, including identifying defect \/ rectification requirements.<\/li>\n
• Keep the Lead Engineer apprised of all activities and concerns, technical, budgetary and manpower related.<\/li>\n
• Assist in providing inputs for actual, planning and forecasting progress reports including associated productivity.<\/li>\n
• Assist Lead Engineer with responses to Company and other entities (such as certifying authorities, auditors, third parties, etc.) on their review and approval.<\/li>\n
• Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience on structural engineering.<\/li>\n
• Be aware of costs related to own work and of the discipline.<\/li>\n
• Prepare \/ review all detailed drawings ensuring technical correctness, professional presentation and that fabrication and installation requirements are satisfied.<\/li>\n
• Fully conversant with AutoCAD.<\/li>\n
• Familiar with engineering software tools in addition to SACS, StaadPro, USFOS, ANSYS, etc. <\/li>\n
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  Essential Qualifications and Education:<\/p>\n

  \u2022 Bachelor\u2019s Degree in civil or Structural Engineering.<\/p>\n

  \u2022 10+ years in oil and gas with major EPC contractor or consultant.<\/p>\n

  \u2022 Experience of working in a variety of projects and phases, including greenfield and brownfield, on and offshore, Pre-FEED through to EPC, with a focus on offshore upstream<\/p>\n

  \u2022 Mandatory to pursue the Engineer Registration in the State of Qatar.<\/p>\n

  \u2022 Proven core Structural Engineering skills, including design experience and preferably in the Oil & Gas sector.<\/p>\n

  \u2022 Good knowledge of Diving, ROV & Survey operations.<\/p>\n

  Need immediate joiner as this is an urgent requirement <\/p>\n

  Should be very strong in Oil & Gas (&\/or) Ocean Engineering<\/p>\n
