Designing technical solutions that bring to life the vision for any data product
Turning business requirements into clear technical tasks that can be shared out
Writing performant Python code that accomplishes the job quickly and securely
Working with Google Cloud Platform and related services to deploy products Ingesting new data sources, whether via existing solutions or ad-hoc methods
Transforming and preparing datasets for further analyses and usage
Identify the room for optimizing DWH models through design, query optimization, partitioning, clustering etc.
Partnering closely with data engineers, data products managers, data architects, and others
Guaranteeing the quality of your work via proper testing and documentation
Keeping your technical knowledge up to date via trainings and other methods
Coaching technical analysts on how best to utilize certain tools and techniques
What you'll need to succeed<\/strong>
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience of 2-3 years
. Experience with data engineering, including querying or analyzing data to answer questions and solve problems
. Hands-on experience in at least 3 of the following areas:
\u25e6 BigQuery
\u25e6 Google Cloud Platform
\u25e6 Python
\u25e6 SQL
\u25e6 DBT
\u25e6 Apache Airflow
\u25e6 ETL\/ELT
\u25e6 BI\/DWH
. Understanding of data modeling, algorithms, and data transformation techniques are the basics to work with data platforms.
. Experience integrating data from a variety of data source types
. Develop and maintain ETL pipelines
. Collaborative coding experience and competency with Git
. Data cleansing and data validation processes and procedures
. Knowledge of basic concepts in mathematics and statistics
. Experience improving code performance and query optimization to meet demanding data analytic and visualization needs
