Job Description
We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Technical Office \u2013 Electrical Engineer responsible for the tendering process, and technical office activities of the electrical work.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:<\/p>\n

Studying, understanding and checking completeness of tender(s) \/ opportunities(s) requirements and documents.<\/p>\n

Preparing clarification issues to be sent to client for the missing, contradicting and confusing issues related to the tender \/ opportunity requirements.<\/p>\n

Receiving and evaluating suppliers, manufacturers and subcontractor\u2019s technical & financial offers and checking compliance with the tender \/ opportunity\u2019s requirements.<\/p>\n

Negotiating the technical and financial issues of the offers received from suppliers, manufacturers and subcontractor.<\/p>\n

Responsible for preparing & updating projects\u2019 BOQs and calculating quantities.<\/p>\n

Review schematic designs of new projects received from the design team, to verify their compliance with local building codes & regulations.<\/p>\n

Responsible for the technical revision of all architecture drawings, at different phases of the work progress.<\/p>\n

Responsible for reviewing structure & MEP drawings and technical coordination between all disciplines.<\/p>\n

Reviewing all shop drawings received from contractors.<\/p>\n

Communicating with contractors & suppliers.<\/p>\n

Creating any required construction details.<\/p>\n

Regularly updating the \u201cConstruction Details Library\u201d.<\/p>\n

Regularly updating the \u201cVendors List\u201d of manufacturers and suppliers.<\/p>\n

Responding to Request for Information RFIs and site queries.<\/p>\n

Preparing Request for Inspection RFIs to the consultant \/ Owner and follow-up till acceptance<\/p>\n

Prepare and \/ or review subcontractors claims & invoices<\/p>\n

Prepare claims, Invoices & submit to consultant \/ owner and follow-up till acceptance<\/p>\n

Attend meetings with consultants, contractors, suppliers & client representatives as needed.
Job Requirements<\/p>\n

Bachelor\u2019s degree of Electrical engineering (Minimum 3 Years of proven experience in technical office).<\/p>\n

Computer proficiency: MS office is a must AutoCAD, REVIT and BIM are assets.<\/p>\n

Professional English language.<\/p>\n

Proven experience with technical drawings and details.<\/p>\n

Extensive knowledge of preparing BOQs (in both Arabic & English languages) including quantity survey.<\/p>\n

Strong technical knowledge of structure & Electrical design concepts and strong coordination skills.<\/p>\n

Knowledge of design standards, local codes and government regulations.<\/p>\n

Possession of great work ethics, high degree of integrity and willingness to put in the hours whenever needed.<\/p>\n

High organization skills and ability to prioritize & concurrently service multiple projects.<\/p>\n

Ability to manage own time.<\/p>\n

Critical thinking, using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.<\/p>\n

A good eye for details.<\/p>\n

Ability to work & perform under pressure.
