Synopsis
\n<\/p>\n

Responsible for the management, functional control and administration of the Quality Assurance (Audit and Regulatory Compliance), Safety Management System and Occupational Health & Safety requirements.
This role will manage and be responsible to the Accountable Manager for ensuring EYE remains in compliance with all relevant national regulations, directives and internal requirements. The Senior Director Quality & Safety is a Nominated Postholder approved position as required by National Aviation Authority\u2019s.<\/p>\n

Accountabilities
\n<\/p>\n

\n
• Responsible to the National Aviation Authorities including GCAA, EASA and FAA in establishing an independent quality assurance system and approved audit plan to monitor compliance with all mandatory requirements.<\/li>\n
• To ensure through audit that all departmental Vice Presidents remain in compliance with all external regulations and their internal departmental procedures.<\/li>\n
• To establish a close working relationship with all National Aviation Authorities to ensure that audit findings are acceptable and applicable to the EYE working environment whilst remaining in compliance.<\/li>\n
• Accountable to the National Aviation Authorities for the implementation of the Safety Management System to ensure potential hazards are identified and risks are adequately mitigated, including the requirement to ensure the inclusion of a Just Culture policy.<\/li>\n
• Responsible for providing positive and proactive leadership to the Quality & Safety department and to ensure that the correct training and personal development plans are in place.<\/li>\n
• Responsible to all National Aviation Authorities for coordinating action on reported airworthiness occurrences and for initiating any necessary further investigation and follow-up activity and where necessary carrying out the required disciplinary actions.<\/li>\n
• Responsible to the Abu Dhabi governmental bodies environmental on occupational health and safety codes and practices and to ensure that departmental Vice Presidents are fully aware and responsible for the wellbeing and safety of all EYE personnel.<\/li>\n
• Ensure that departmental Vice Presidents rigorously apply and maintain human factors principles throughout the organization.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  Education & Experience
  \n<\/p>\n

  \u2022 University degree in an aeronautical discipline or business management degree (eg MBA).
  \u2022 Minimum of 15 years experience in the aviation industry with 10 years operating at a senior level.
  \u2022 Licenced aircraft engineer would be beneficial (active or not).
  \u2022 Regulatory experience within an aviation Quality & Safety department or National Aviation Authority.<\/p>\n
